Developpement on this game is totally finished, there won't be DLC, updates or new seasons anymore, even if it hasn't been officially announced. Commercially, the game was a failure for Firaxis and they discretly dropped the ball.
The Creative Director (Jake Salomon, who also made XCOM and XCOM2) left Firaxis in 2023 to go indy and co-created Midsummar Studios, where he works currently on a concurrent to The Sims as he wanted to take a try at the Life Simulators genre.
His Team on Midnight Suns has been reaffected since on other Firaxis projects so nobody is working on this game anymore.
Fact : The last released DLC for the game is "Blood Storm" that got out in 2023, May 11 and they even cancelled the planed Switch version. That's a long time already and quite self-explanatory.

This game is an abandonned Cult Gem, enjoy it as it is, DUDE, but don't fool yourself dreaming of new content.
Have a good day and spare me any eventual insults for exercizing my right to free speech, I did it for your information and the information of all those who ain't aware yet of the game situation.
It's a great game and it would be neat if they could do a sequel but it seems unlikely.
I am a bit sad, because if I knew the game was going to turn out this good, I'd have supported it when it came out, but as it was, my self and a great many others were basically hit over the head with how "bad" the game was. Since I didn't play it back then, I don't know the truth or if the haters were just very vocal, but this game really has a ton of potential and at the very least I'd love to see this system for combat re-used.
Part of me is sad when I pick up the tarot cards because I can't help but wonder "What if those are a sneak preview into characters to come in the future?" But whether that could've been the case or not is moot.
Oh, I got this, *AHEM*
YOUR FATHER IS A HAMSTER AND YOUR MOTHER SMELLS OF ELDERBERRIES.
Furthermore, you should definitely go into hiding for spelling exercising incorrectly. I have alerted the grammar police and they are summoning the Partisan Preposition Patrol (AKA PP Patrol) as we speak.
Hopefully through this interaction, I have aided in making your internet experience more authentic at this time.
(On Topic Short Response): The dev closed up shop and everyone went their own way - the dev offices for this specific game are empty and no further development is happening.
Wow, not the PPP please ! Can I have a pass because English is not my first langage ?
How do you know that Boo is my father, by the way ? I like the smells of Elderberries in the morning...
Even if we did, it would NOT be the same developer group and team, so it would not be the same.
I played a few hour. I thikn I made it to level 6. This is kinda the combat I always hoped from Dragon Age. Theres so much potential, chatting in combat, events, you could even tell story within combat etc.
War Hammer might work in this kind of combat. Especially that with melee and close combat stuff. You could chainsaw someone etc. Shotguns, Submachines, hammers etc.
