Note that these journalists installed the game on a HDD, and have not disabled the 2k launcher either on PC. The launcher does not exist in the console version and the consoles have M.2 Nvme SSD's.
On my PC the game plays better than on any current gen console, because I have disabled the 2k launcher with a simple Steam command and my PC has stronger hardware than the current gen consoles.
The 2k launcher causes a lot of stuttering and fps drops in the game. It does that to all of the games which come with the 2k launcher.
No. Not really. The problem is that PC gaming is held to a much higher standard and there are far more settings you can tweak and tools you can run to decide for you how well a game plays(instead of just deciding by playing it)
Plus most next Gen games are still doing things like rendering in lower resolutions and upscaling. Also TVs 10 feet from
you eyes hide a lot of the imperfections.
Does this game run “better” on a PC. Depends on the hardware. But it seems to run fine on most modern setups after the last few patches
I'd would say that statement is incorrect. PC players were the first ones to get a patch of any kind, almost a week ahead of the first console patches.
Right click the game on Steam, choose properties, then local files, click on "browse."
Then click on the highlighted folder icon at the bottom of the screen, it'll show you the game files and folders. Double click on MidnightSuns folder, then on Binaries, then on Win64. You'll find a file called MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe.
Shift-right click on it, then choose "copy as path. "
Then go into the game properties on Steam again, and paste the path into the launch options on the general page by clicking on the space for launch commands first, then pressing Ctrl+V. Add %command% after the last " symbol, not before it.
My launch command for example looks like this:
"E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Marvel's Midnight Suns\MidnightSuns\Binaries\Win64\MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe" %command%
Your copy of the game might have a different path depending on which drive you have installed it on, so you can't just copypaste my launch command.

Or something to that effect.
