The later you do the trial the more room there is for card mods to offer things like conceal on redraw which neutralise any amount of incoming damage, not to mention the hunter has the Last Sight card option which naturally has concealment on it.
You can alternatively generate appreciable amounts of resistance through resistance on redraw mods combined with the hunter passive that has a 50% chance to give a point of resistance each turn - enough to make the damage survivable.
The large enemies are taunted when hit, so if you can taunt them on to the Hunter and then conceal yourself each turn, while using quick attacks + marked to eliminate the minions and splitting enemies targetting Charlie, there will be no significant incoming damage each round.
Good luck!
