New Patch Issues

Anyone else having issues downloading the patch? It just peters down to 0mb/s and it's not making any change on the disc either. Every time I restart steam it downloads for a minute or so and just stops. Tried common fixes like clearing download cache and multiple restarts. It's not my internet as I patched other games to see and there was no issue.

yeah same here. no fix i've found but its just been slowwwwly progressing this whole time. its almost done now but its been like over an hour

I downloaded the patch in like 2 mins but now I've been stuck looking at it essentially going through all 50+gb of game files at about my download speed. This is absurd. As some people have stated in other threads, you might as well download the whole damn game again.

Download was not much ~1.3GB but then it needed 40m to update and install the new patch. Best was Time to install 1year+.

OOf... mine was over half way done and just dropped back down to 0%. What is this patch even?!?!

I had a similar experience. I downloaded, then it took about 40 minutes to update (on an SSD), then it reset back to 0% for some reason, jumped to 30%, and started saying it would take >1 year to complete. (It went from ~2 minutes UP to 1 year.)

Checked my Task Manager. Disk usage was at 300+ KB/s. Went to close out Steam. Started by doing it manually, asked me if I wanted to stop the download so I did. Annd then I could play the game suddenly!

So not sure, but if your install finished but then reset, try stopping it and seeing it'll just run.

this sounds more like a program may interfeering with steam
i would assume your antivirus if you have installed one.

Also you seem to need more than 50 GB of free disc space, which is ridiculous for a small patch without patchnotes... at this point, the install size might as well be 100+ GB because you need that free space anyway it seems

Having the same issue. Restarted computer few times. It's re-downloading again, starting at around 40GB. Then goes dead with no read/write >5 years left lol. Right before that, after it completes download, when it goes to write the last 12GB or so is when it flatlines. When I manually exit Steam, the 'stopping install' popup window progress circle just churns. when I hover over the download bar, it say download and update are done, but won't trigger complete. I just manually exited Steam and now Steam won't even restart... going to restart computer once again...

I downloaded it but it broke my game coz i cant load any of my old saves, and im not in the mood to play from the beginning.

This was referring to the patch at release not the most current one you should probably start another thread.

I did not have this issue. The DLC/patch (if there was a patch involved) was a little over 11 gigs in size and downloaded smoothly. The installation was a tab bit slow but it did install properly.

As for the DLC, I just bought the base game and do not have any of the DLC's so I can not comment on if they are working properly.

Yeah, the download finished, then it patched, then it installed, then it installed again, then it installed again, endless loop
