Why do they give you so many gifts and so few gifting opportunities?

Just curious about this, I am closing in on the end of the game and I have dozens of gifts in my inventory. Why are there so many more gifts then chances to use them? They should add the ability to just give one team member a gift everyday. Would make the number of gifts you get make a lot more sens.e

Mainly, don't buy almost anything besides legendary gifts. Save the gift shop until you have to use it if you need to buy something less than legendary simply so you don't have a giant list of garbage to scroll through later.

Because the game is half baked and needed like, another year of development to properly flesh out all these different elements instead of leaving them shallow and unsatisfying.

Instead of developing a deep friendship system they cobbled together a time and resource-sink filled with boring, badly animated talking heads cutscenes that happen to have amazing voice acting.

I really liked this game for the first few hours I played it but the lack of polish has worn very thin now.
