"In-App Purchases" i knew it , it seems to cost a lot of money
i wonder if any game will have this project【"In-App Purchases"】from next year ~ do we have any choice ?

or ? PC games , console games are all die , if we want play games , we dont have choice but only mobile free game with super heavy "In-App Purchases" very serious expenditure , if we dont spend money , we cant play any games ?

it would be terrible if every games were like this , that means we dont have choice and maybe if you play 8 hours game , you have to spend much money in each hour ???

【 each hour spend = 80 ~ 400 dollers ?】of course , its joke , but i really don't want to be left with no choice, its just worried :steamfacepalm:

If you did your research apparently the "in-app purchases." are simply for costumes. If that eases your worries a little. :)

When was the last AAA game that came out that didn't have in app purchases? God of War was a old port.

I’m not against in app purchases when they are cosmetics like here, but to answer your question. Elden ring and tiny Tina’s wonderland.

There's even a Marvel game which came out without in-app purchases just last year; Guardians of the Galaxy.

I heard it was terrible without a controller. But yes you're right.

I am not sure what the issue was for those people, with my Logitech G502 high DPI gaming mouse and a cheapo Chinese keyboard I never had control issues in the game even once. Didn't even try the game with a controller.

I see and i stand corrected even though more and more games are full of mtx..

If we are going to pay $60 for a game, we should get the entire game. There should not be day-zero DLC nor in-app purchases of any kind for a game that charges a AAA price tag just to get started.
I think this game looks good but because of these cash-grab shenanigans, I will not be buying it until the price comes down. I can wait, I have a backlog of games I have bought and still have only barely played.

There is no day zero DLC for this game other than cosmetics. The battle pass thing you can buy, is just a pre-order at a discount for all the future character DLC's.

Marvel games are well known for offering the players alternative costumes from the comic books, and from the movies too. Some of these have cost real money to unlock since 2013 if not even sooner. Usually these have been live service multiplayer games though, Midnight Suns may be the first example of a singleplayer Marvel game with cosmetic MTX.

It does not matter to me that the in-app purchases are cosmetics. What matters to me is the fact that we pay full price for a game and then must pay more for some of the content (in this case, cosmetics). All those cosmetics should be rolled-in with the purchase price and be unlockable without shelling out even more money, if they are going to charge the premium-tier $60 price.

uhm. These cosmetics, as with most games are just extra costumes should you want to change your character's looks. they don't affect gameplay at all and aren't required for you to play the game. I can't understand what you're complaining about. Just don't buy the DLC if it bothers you that much.

Then again, the $60 pricepoint has been kept artificially there and video game prices have not followed the rises in development costs for a long time.

Hence a lot of companies indeed cut some game content to be sold separately as DLC, so the full game price totals up to something between $80-$120. In some cases it can even be the only way for them to stay profitable.

F2P games designed to contain hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands of dollars worth of microtransactions are another thing of course.

In Midnight Sun's case the "complete" game in the form of a Legendary Edition seems to cost about $100, which is reasonable for a non-live service game of this size.

Nah, it's totally double-dipping to both charge a premium price for the game and to have in-app purchases too. Pick one or the other! Since this game has both, I am not going to buy it until the price comes down, assuming I am still interested at that point, and that's that.
