there's nothing to transfer
I don't like the EPIC interface, that's why am buy it here... but I should start all over again! now that's a big lame
I just bought it, and see :D
not that I don't believe you ,but I want to see... am downloading right now on STEAM
with season pass as well :D
"I don't like the EPIC interface" is reasonable reason to buy a game on steam vs. get for free on some other app. I just know several friends that have lots games or been unable to play what they own on epic due to bugs with the epic launcher. Also once a game gets removed from sale over there, you loose it from your library. Here you can still download it and play it.
what? lose it from your library? you don't once you get a free game from there you get to keep it.
When Rockstar stole my game copies on Steam because I lost email access to Social Club, GTA V went free on Epic which saved me from buying that stupid game for the THIRD time.
Epic Games is great!
Now if only they would replace RDR2 for me.
Plus a bonus, Master Sweeney is a gamer while King Gaben is not.
Also, Tim Sweeney has an affinity for ice cream. Free ice cream for ALL Epic Games employees at headquarters.
My controller only works with a 3rd party overlay in Epic or with Steam's own overlay that requires nothing more from me to use it or not use it with various games. So after deciding I like it enough with the free Epic version where I had to launch an overlay to use my controller, I decided to tip the developers a small bit of $ and get it with the DLCs on a platform that's less hassle for me.
The saves didn't transfer from Epic, but whatevs. Starting over with knowledge how to play from the get-go is also less frustrating than trying to learn this kind of game from scratch.
(This action card stuff is really not my style, but I'm liking it well enough to keep playing... and, as pointed out, even starting over. Old dogs can learn new tricks, but I wouldn't've even tried the game if it wasn't for EGS.)
If EGS games would let me use the Steam overlay like EA Desktop and Ubisoft Connect games do when they're not purchased through Steam...
I added EA Desktop and Ubisoft Connect as non-Steam games, and I can use the Steam overlay in the games on those services that were not purchased through Steam. I can't do that with EGS games, though. EGS seems to disable Steam overlay. The overlay also works for several other non-Steam games that have their own launchers without having to bypass the launchers (meaning the launcher itself is the non-Steam game in the Library, not the actual game executable). This tells me that EGS did something uncouf that prevents the overlay from working with it and its games that nobody else did.
