Good heroes to pair with spider-man?

I dunno if I needed to "pair" heroes together unless you want to use cards that do extra damage to stunned/bound/ect characters. The only synergy I have found in my close to 100hr play throughs of one light, one dark is you have to have a healer of some type on the board or else you're gonna die.

Spiderman is crowd control, lots of knockback, chains, and area effect. You want to combine him with a big hitter such as Blade, Hunter, GhostRider (if built with hell's fury & pennance stare), Hulk, Venom (if you have DLC).

Oddly enough I find Venom is a pretty good pairing because Spider-Man can set up very explosive turns with environmental effects and positioning abilities and Venom is also explosive and adaptable to be able to do tons of single target damage in one turn with lethal strikes or a lot of area of effect or chain damage to multiple targets. On any given turn either of them could go off with a million actions.

Strange is also a good pairing because he allows you to build up a lot of heroism while spider-man saves heroism on environmental effects and also has a good variety of hero abiilities. You should be able to make a lot of stuff happen and build your team to do basically anything you want.

Magik is also a good pairing because she has a lot of stuff that gives you more moves to use more environmental stuff from different angles and spider-man can knock enemies into her drops.
Spider-Man is good at using environmental elements to damage enemies and providing extra movement for himself and the team. Bear in mind that once you have built certain upgrades, movement becomes more powerful as a source of both card draw (knocking enemies into other heroes) and curing afflicted teammates, so in this sense Spidey's utility grows as the game progresses.

However, he lacks high damage, environmental damage doesn't scale very well at higher difficulties, and his chain attacks are conditional on KO which he will struggle to achieve. Therefore, pairing him up with a heavy hitter such as Iron Man, Ghost Rider, or of course the Hunter, and somebody who can either apply vulnerable to enemies and/or strengthened to Spidey will help get the best from him.

Also consider mission type - Spidey is very good at Defeat The Nest Mother missions due to the fact that you need only target and KO 1 HP eruptions, so his chain 4 card is very useful here (and try to ignore the fact that Iron Man's Air Superiority does this and a lot more). But missions involving armored enemies and higher health minions will see him struggle to have an impact.

Lastly, if you pair up Spidey with the Hunter, consider including a copy or two of the unusual Hunter ability which allows you to summon additional environmental objects, as he will often exhaust all the available environmentals in a round or two, leaving him with less to do.
Spoder-Man is a "finisher" style guy and goes well with Venom, Hulk, Ghost Rider, and Iron Man. Like every other hero in the game he goes well with Hunter if you build them to complement Spider-Man's abilities. Build your decks such that you can boot enemies all around the map every turn. The general plan is to use your heavy hitters to set enemies up for the Web-Head by using abilities that move and/or heavily damage them such that you can take advantage of his Chain/Free cards to string together a bunch of KO's.

I like spiderman with Doc strange, then i guess you would pick hunter, but if you wanted to go full on NPC group, Nico works with them really well. Lots of crowd control and heavy hits.
