Ancestral Suit bug

How do I unlock this outift? the internet says open the chests in the basement of Lilith's Garden which I have done, didn't get it.

In both? Neither of them should have had colour palettes. The left should have had a blueprint and 200 of each essence and the other should have had the suit.

I think I unlocked it by getting all of the witches stuff, not sure if it was the Hiram Shaw journals, the witches essences, the witches skulls or the witches execution logs, I think it was one of those though.

Also just opened the lilith garden chest, the ancestral one was plain empty. Never reset afterwards, seems bugged

I didn't get to that part in NG+ before the patch. I restarted my NG+ when the option to carry over costumes/passives was introduced.

Same problem. Not on a NG+. Hope a new patch can fix this T_T.

Same here. No armor in any chest. I went and completed all the mysteries, thinking I missed something, but no - it is a bug. I am quite disheartened.

You should get the armor from the chest in the greenhouse basement after completing the Lilith’s Garden mystery. Seems pretty common for the chest to be bugged. I’ve submitted a ticket to 2K.

If you don’t want to wait for a patch, there’s a mod on NexusMods that will add the armor as a general mission reward (and then you can uninstall the mod). I haven’t tried it myself yet, but likely will if a patch isn’t release shortly.

The mod is named “Faster Arcane Chest Respawn” and has an optional download to fix the Ancestral Armor issue.

I also contacted the support (German). After I had sent him several pictures that I had opened all the chests at least once and several messages where I had confirmed everything again, they only said that there was more to discover and that I would definitely get the suit soon. But I think I've found everything. In the link is a picture of everything I found, maybe one of you can tell me if I've overlooked something. If you don't have a chest that I have, I'm happy to help you find it.

I could be wrong but based on everything I’ve read, the armor description in game of what’s needed to unlock it is a little misleading. The only way to get the armor is in the right chest at the bottom of the green house after completing the Lilith’s Garden mystery. For some reason many people open that chest and don’t receive anything at all and it never respawns.

Same thing happened to me, no suit from the chest, I did get the charlie legendary card.

At the time I found and unlocked the chest I still had parts of the abbey to discover (mainly the break area's because I obviously needed sets blessing) but since Agatha urged me to break the wall and go down into the cellar, I had come across and opened the box before doing what the armour says is a requirement, which is to discover every mystery of the abbey.

It's my theory that since I hadn't discovered everything before opening this box I couldn't receive the reward, and because I opened the box prior to finding everything there was no way to collect the reward once I had.

I am assuming this is what happened and if I am correct this is a pretty stupid oversight by the programmers, the box should not appear for you to open it accidentally until you complete the requirements for getting the suit. Or there should be some other way this suit can be attained once you complete the requirements that does not involve the box that you come across directly after getting the word to find it, when you still have to go across the whole of the abbey looking for places to break. I mean after you find it Agatha tells you to go find more stuff to break and explore with your new word of power.
