Performance Issues?
Have they still not fixed the performance issues for the Abbey and in fights? I had to stop playing the game like a little over a month ago because the fps went from 110 to 20-30 in the Abbey. I jump on today to try the new venom and deadpool dlc and the Abbey still is like 30 fps all the time and the fights fluxate between 30-60 fps. I know its not my pc cuz its a somewhat a high end pc. My settings were also epic and when I tried to have the game auto detect my settings it set everything to low. Games even on my ssd and takes like forever to load

My settings:
CPU - Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU - RTX 3070
RAM - 32 GB DDR4
1440p

1440p here aswell and I get around 120-165 FPS depending on the scene. Desktop PC (no Notebook with low clock speeds) (RTX 3080 / i9 9900K / 32 GB DDR4).

however, I capped the framrate trough NVC to 75 which is enough for me and my cpu/gpu isn't going all out for a turn-based game.

my ingame settings are :
video :
1440p native
framerate limit: unlimited (the ingame limiter caused stutter for me in combination with adaptive sync so I use NCP for that)

upscale method (dlss/fsr/ect) : OFF
VSync - off (set to on in NCP)

graphics:
Ultra preset (remember to double check if the game turned on DLSS again after selecting the preset and disable it again)

so my GPU is a little bit faster than yours but there should be no problem to maintain stable 75+ FPS all the time and uncapped of course more until the throttle kicks in.

something else must be causing it but not the game.

The fact that so many systems are struggling to run a game that really don't look better than what a PS3 can run is baffling. Hell, there's people with computers comparable to a PS3 can run this game perfectly. Like, is this game's system so weak that most top-tier computers can run it without f**king itself up?

I tried what you said. Most of the settings were the same as mine. I tried turning off DLSS and got a slight boost but I still can't get over 60 in this game. Idk what else could be causing it other than the game because I can play Returnal and Dead Space remake at max settings and still have over 70+ fps. I have a hard time believing that this game is more demanding than those two.

I had no issues with the game around launch and was crusing with max settings and fps as high as 110-120 but then since their updates its just gotten worst. Like I though updates were meant to help and not ruin it.

Bro, that's a fine example why the performance issues of this game are on the game and not the computer, as if you can run the Dead Space remake perfectly fine, this game shouldn't be struggling at all to run at a decent rate.

I'm getting half the framerate since the DLC. I had solid 120FPS on a 3080ti, now its averaging 60-70 and is super noticable. This is a very bad update.

Yea idk it seems like they just slap the dlc or update in without testing to see how itll affect the game in its state. Idk I just want to play the game I spent nearly $100 on without it having the framerate of a X360 or PS3. If I wanted to play at those framerates I wouldve bought it on my PS5 or Xbox

My System
CPU - Ryzen 7 5800 8-Core
GPU - RX 6600 XT
RAM - 64 GB DDR4
Resolution - 3840 x 2160
Graphics: Epic with Anti-Aliasing TXAA

Turned off 2K Launcher and forced DX11
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marvel's Midnight Suns\MidnightSuns\Binaries\Win64\MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe" -d3d11 %command%

Game runs smooth as silk for me even after current patch.

I see fps halve around the forge and gym areas. Otherwise pretty much as I'd expect - typically 80+fps away from those areas and 120+ in combat. (3080ti @1440p, 5600x, yada yada, epic settings with RT and Quality DLSS)
Onhez Feb 26, 2023 @ 6:54am
I played around 30 hours on release, everything was fine and smooth. I recently got back to game to complete it but it runs really bad atm. FPS drops and crashes all over the place. I hope they fix it soon.

Make sure you follow Torch's post and bypass the launcher. It's really the first step along with making sure raytracing is off.

i disabled my launcher n performance got worse
Bryan Feb 26, 2023 @ 9:11pm
after i disableled the launcher i can run the game on all setting max (just ray tracing off) with a stable 60 FPS and no drops.

So if you right click Midnight suns in steam and go to properties, local files, click verify and it will run all files. Mine made me update something and now its running again. Hope this helps
