Online/Offline issue (looking for a workaround)

So it's not a problem right now, so not THAT urgent but hopefully someone can help me here:
I can't start the game in online mode atm because the serves try to connect to a 2K account that does not exist resulting into me never entering the starting screen to play. DNA SINGLE SIGN-ON (SSO) FAILED is the issue popping up.
Now it's "easily fixed" by just playing offline however I feel like I really want to buy the DLCs too but read that you can't play them in offline mode which will be an issue then.
Anyone knows a workaround?
The issue popped up when foolish me (cursed be the foolish me) wanted to grab the free Blade skin by signing up to the 2K newsletter or whatever but I could never create the account since when I got the verification mail, it only said "this link does not longer exist" (fun times). Since then, the game is connected to an account that does not exist and I can't even get into the title screen to disconnect it from an account that does not exist.

Seriously I love the game but 2K and its issues and its platform are REALLY bugging me out. Already had to work around the stupid launcher.

Oh yeah, same thing for me. And the hotline isn't verry helpful. Now I'm connected to a 2k account, but the game still don't want to start.

I would also take the information if I can play the DLCs when I start the game in offline mode (once I am in the starting screen, I can put it to online mode without issue again).

I'm not sure if it would help but disabling the 2k launcher might help.

Already did that before I even had the issue. I even tried to enable it again but changed nothing. :(

turns out saving the game whilst in offline mode makes it so you cant play in online mode, my save has been like this since release and its really bloody annoying. if you try to play in online mode you get incompatible save

seems like there are many ways to get that problem, lol.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Tried to connect the game to a 2K Account for the skin, got a link, clicked the link, link said that the "links is no longer valid", and now I've got the "DNA SSO" issue and cannot start the game at all anymore. Every attempt to access that 2K Account in ohter ways (desktop) gets the same "verify your account/link is no longer valid" error.

Great times and great job all around.

I solved the issue by contacting the Support. They "unlink" your non-existing account and then it works like a charme again.

I'm trying to get that done right now, but so far the account only tells me to try the offline mode (which doesn't work with DLC), so I have now described the problem again and asked them to unlink the account. I hope it works and it definitely teaches me a lesson about tying games to accounts outside of Steam if I don't have to.
