is it worht buying the DLCs?

trying thsi game in its free weekend and boy i love the combat gameplay.. the animations are so sick
i just heard the dialogue is very bad and im wondering if tis worth buying venom and deadpool?

For me, adding more heroes is not worth it, although deadpool is tempting. I like the game a lot, but I find 3/4 of the heroes annoying as it is. Plus, I am already sick of venom, and I thought venom was a stupid character before the game.

If played the free trial, then you know how the dialog goes. I am 32 hours in, and find it pretty consistent throughout the experience. A third of the heroes are whiny children, so I focus on the story missions and building friendship with the heroes that least annoy me, and keeping up with the abbey back history story.

Same here, liked the game during the free weekend and bought it. Decided to get the vanilla version as for now. Paying the same price for 4 characters and few story missions? Nah, thanks, I'll probably wait till the next DLCs are released and then, maybe, with a good discount, will think about buying the season pass.

Btw, no problem with dialogues\story at all.. Just skip it, lmao. Did it and regret nothing, not a fan of Marvel at all, so why do I bother myself with it when the combat is fire and I can go straight for it

All the good stuff got shoved into the legendary edition for money purposes so, unfortunately, yes. You will only get the most out of this game with the DLCs. Including costumes that should have arguably been in the base game. On the bright side, Deadpool is funny and awesome and Venom looks great.

Honestly, there's no reason to get the vanilla version anymore. The Legendary edition is always on a major price-cut; currently, it costs as much as the base game did at release.

The Deadpool DLC not only adds a character, but also new enemy types, new mechanics, new maps, etc.

The game has plenty of content by itself. You can get plenty of hours without the DLC, but if you like the game and want more variety, then I am enjoying the DLC.

I had my doubts it was on Game Pass. Would certainly be a case of desperation. Though considering its failed sales and constant price cuts, it wouldn't be that off to believe it will happen at some point.

I hate season pass, they always make you feel like you are missing out or are playing a limited version of a game. And that´s the aim I know, not criticizing MS for it cause it is industry standard.
I would buy the legendary Edition and looking for the best deal you can find for it. You get some sick looking skins which make you feel more bad-ass. But they should be included....

The dialog would be way better if there would not be a good or bad milestone you kinda wanna reach. At least you dont see what raises friendship so there is some tension..
The voice acting is not bad, sadly the complete lack of animated expression makes them feel "out of touch".

Only 10h in but the game does things differently which is exciting.

Usually, its just a really fun way to expand on what you already have and make it better. In this case? Its for money. You want alternative costumes? DLC. Heroes? DLC. I get adding extra heroes as DLC but all the costumes, at least some of them should have been in the base game. Nasty cash grab. And the DLC is way too expensive too. The base game, imo, isn't enough for the full experience...the full experience is locked behind a paywall, and if you want the DLC with it when its not on sale you might as well be buying a car instead because the base game itself isn't worth full price at all. And the DLCs aren't even working, so many complaints about bugs in the main game and DLC. BUGS THAT DON'T EVEN LET YOU PLAY AS THE DLC CHARACTER. Sheesh.
