Anti-Cheat Software in a single player game.

BIG UPDATE:
Ok after testing there are a couple ways to get the game working with Aurora from Cheathappens, No hacking, but you have to load the trainer first and then load the game via Aurora or via right clicking on the steam icon. If you run it via the play button in the steam UI, you get the message about "A program used for game exploration..."

Also I cannot get any of the hot keys to work, so I am having to Alt+Tab to turn on and off options or use the phone app to activate the trainer and turn any options on. Finally if you close the trainer while in the game, Midnight Suns crashes.

I use a trainer to max things like credits if a game does not have a dev console I can use. Normally I do this on my 2nd or 3rd play through or if I am REALLY getting stuck on easy.
Problem is I have so many games, that if I went for hard on all of them I would never finish the story. Also I NEVER cheat on anything that goes multiplayer.

Well this "feature" just got added to a single player game. Note I can get this with 2 mod managers, a trainer manger, and several other pieces of software just running in the background....not even activated and touching the game. Just them being in RAM is enough to trigger the game to quit with the message:

EDIT And to be clear, the game closes if detects software I use to mod Skyrim. I have never used the software to touch this game, but it still sees it running an update to a mod for another game and triggers. Now there is software from cheathappens I used on this game, and that is also triggering it closing with the error. But it is also a manager for cheats for other games, and if I completely disable the cheat for Midnight Suns....the game still sees it.

Yep the game launched with Denuvo anti-tamper and then on an update the devs added Denuvo anti-cheat. Check reddit if you want to see the date when Denuvo anti-cheat was added on top of Denuvo anti-tamper.

It was alongside the Deadpool update. I did a whole playthrough with a speedhack going before then. After the first DLC came out, it (and more) no longer worked.

I'd like to start off by saying absolutely ♥♥♥♥ the devs for putting anti-cheat into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ single player game. I'm not wasting my life for hours grinding credits just to roll some mods on the cards. I thought it could have been because they wanted to put IAPs so people would buy resources with real money, but after searching the anti-cheat was actually put in when Deadpool was released, they really must have had their pants on their head when they thought that was a good idea. Again, ♥♥♥♥ you.

So if anyone wants to know how to get a trainer to work, it's pretty tricky, search for DrummerIX's discord server, in it there's a link to download his trainers, you'll need the password in the server to download them. First of all you'll need to open the trainer with the game closed. Open the game. Then there's two activation buttons in cheat engine, pretty sure the top one is for god mode and second one is to modify resources. The trainer is a bit weird in how you need to modify the "add to resources" amount the amount you want to add, then activate the resource you want to modify and then open the menu. Your game can still crash from the anti-cheat so try to get it done quickly and save. The cheat can also seemingly activate something you don't want, so make sure something else didn't activate.

Something that should take 20 seconds in cheat engine to do, now takes about 10 mins. So again, ♥♥♥♥ you devs.

This ^ works with modifying memory values... but I think the speedhack still crashes the game. At least, that's what happened when I used CheatHappens' trainer.

Just be careful to not do to much stuff before getting through multiple lilith dreams. The pronblem is the later dreams with just crash your game if you have unlocked deadpool (which you can without cheats). I just keep doing "to much, to early" according to the devs and when the dream trigger the game locks up.

Also I was told if you progress the clubs to fast (do a ton of nonstory missions and spend a month or so not progressing the story) it can also cause the dream crash.

That also being said. The mods that are available DO offer much needed shortcuts to accruing the in-game resources for cosmetics and upgrading cards to near OP levels.
Still requires strategy and all, with varying challenging difficulty levels available.

There's a mod on nexus that just sets your jog speed to the constant sprint speed, even works in the Abbey. Highly recommend that one, and also the zoomed out FOV for easier navigation on the grounds

Sidenote: You won't be able to launch the game from Vortex if you are using that. However, launching it in the Steam app still applies the mods. VERY easy guides on every mod to know exactly where to drop mods files and a simple work around to get the launcher to recognize them

Thanks. I've tried it and it's not bad. The battles are the main issue though. I asked around at the modding Discord if speeding that up was possible, but sounds like someone tried and it proved too difficult.
