Is anybody else stuck in download purgatory?

Its downloading like 1% every 10 minutes maybe and just idling with 0 network activity for the next 10.

it's all downloaded but taking forever to complete the patching.

Yep. Every single patch released for this game has taken an INSANE amount of time to download or "Patch" on BOTH my PC and Steam Deck. One time it failed so badly that I had to completely re-install the game on the steam deck.

Had to do an uninstall/reinstall to resolve it this time. My save appears to be safe and intact.

Yeah they have totally messed up how they download. It is stupid. I have a very fast SSD and it is just taking forever when it should be flying.

This needs to be fixed immediately.

I had to reboot Steam to get it to patch.

Yeah I had to restart myself to get it actually moving.

I am surprised at so many people saying they are having issues with the downloading. I have not had any such issues. While I do have my internet through Comcast, I by no means have a super high speed connection. In fact, I have one of the lower speed connections that Comcast has to offer.

I'm wondering if the download speed is Steams fault and not the game.

It's not. Other games download and update without any problem but this one takes forever.

I had to clear download cache in steam and completely make sure steam was fully closed. That seemed to do the trick for me.
