3rd seal fight needs addressing.
Objectives say defeat 16 enemies within 4 rounds.

You only receive 3 rounds to accomplish this. If you hit 4, you lose.

After a dozen times retrying this, using numerous different methods, I conclude it can only be done at random. Certain enemies must be kept alive, and if they duplicate that is the only way to win. Except they choose what to do at random, and will attack the player instead of duplicating.

This the most frustrating event of my life, and I played Ever Quest 1 during it's raid genius days. I broke them down and developed a strategy for the best clan on the server. I led hundreds of raids, often deciphering the dynamics myself as we were learning them.

There is no real planning for this objective other than targeting the demon dogs and hoping the mids duplicate for an increased enemy number. The mids will not duplicate the demon dogs. They target themselves, the uppers, and you. If they target you, then you lose.

Which mission are you at. Do you mean the 3rd seal fight of the final battle?

My objective is to defeat the infested linin which on the 3rd fight it's that 3 health link linin (which will continue to link another unit) And there is no time limit? I play on Heroic 3 though

The defeat x amount of enemies is those General Mission type that will have device (object in the map with 0 heroism) that can call more enemy into the encounter per round.

Are you suggesting I need to lower the difficulty to pass it?

I don't need the 3rd seal, at this point, to finish the game, only to progress. I'm level 17 at this point, and have failed the 3rd seal at least a dozen times knowing the mechanics.

I need help with the third Blood Seal encounter. Just the get the seal fight and you're done with the 3rd.

Oh you mean the Blood Seal challenge. My bad.

If I recalled correctly there are more than 16 enemies? And i got all 4 round. (Enemy reinforcement 3 times)

You can improve your odds by attacking the splitters (as I like to call them) with weak attacks, that forces them to split and thus providing you with more enemies to kill and more chances of them splitting other enemies.
I wasn't really paying attention the first time, just assuming it would provide me with enough enemies, but once I realized this I just forced them to split as many times as I could with weak attacks and then only killing the minions until the last wave, and that was more than enough, done it twice now, worked both times
Yeah you definitely need to let the creature split itself or copy another creature, but they also divide when they take damage, so just do enough damage to allow yourself to split it 3 or so times.

This fight brought back some back memories of Darkest Dungeons 1 gelatinous creature fights before they patched them to be able to divide only once... you could get stuck in a fight with those things for hours if things went up sniff creek with them just dividing and merging every turn...

This fight is all about population management.... can't have to few of those splitters or you'll fail the challenge... can't have to many or they'll leech you dry.

Don't post your past accomplishments when asking for help. It only serves to make you lose face, and look insecure asking for help. We all need it sometimes and the only way you can look bad is if you try not to look bad.

First, the mids duplicate themselves on any minor hit. So if you can ram two into one another, you'll have a nice split. Second, bring some aoe to the fight. You're going to have to balance of course the number you make with being overwhelmed and getting killed. In your post it sounds like you simply missed that you can make them divide yourself, so you are not reliant on rng. No worry, it happens to us all.

I'm running into the same issue. Had 15 kills, one round remaining, and one mob left. That last round definitely seems to be bugged.

That said, stack your deck with chained whip and AOE skills. If you can get 2 K.O.s for the price of one it will keep you ahead of pace in the death count.

Yes.

I also one shot the split guys in NG+ U3...so I simply retried it with splitting them and won easily.

This is the solution, you need the splits because there's otherwise not 16 kills to be made. You can allow as many splits as you like and with an upgraded blocking skill (with counter) you can basically fend off their leeching attacks quite well.

Finally beat this fight last night. I was way over-leveled, so I was able to jump into the Break fight right after and beat it as well on my first attempt.

The labeling of the rounds is still misleading, but if you understand how it works you can still keep track. The # rounds left should be read as the round you are actually on. It's not just a problem for the Purify seal fight. I've also seen the same labeling in the training room and in timed missions. Fortunately you'll also get alerts (in at least some of those fights) that clearly state how many rounds you have left. They appear in the same space as the "Objective Complete" message.

Use as many Whip and Knockback cards as you can. You can take out the demon dogs and knock them into the mids and uppers to force a split. When they split their HP is also reduced. Save an AOE card for late in the fight and you can take those weakened mobs out en mass.

Oh, also over-level if you need to. I was like 21 or 22 when I finally beat it even though the recommended level is 16. It really helped since Charlie had a much stronger set of cards and didn't require much (if any) healing at that level to complete the fight.
