Fails To Launch
I looked through several pages of discussions and didn't see any mention of this.

Brand new installation on a Win10 machine with a GTX1080 video card. Game won't launch. I get a small 2K splash screen and then get dropped back to the Steam client. No error message. No explanation. Repeatable problem. Will have to refund if I can't get it to work.

Is this an isolated issue?
Were you once able to launch the game?
Do you have multiple monitors plugged in?
Drivers up to date?

It has not launched once; dumps me back to Steam every time. 100% file integrity verified. One monitor. I'll check the drivers.

Same happening to me, On a fresh win 11 22h2 with all drivers and steamworks distributales newest ....
Was working on the same setup yesterday before my new win 11 clean install. Looked thru MMS directory and dont see any 3rd party installables to try to install. Just .dll files.

Its gotta be the 3rd party software but dont know which is needed.

You could try disabling the 2k launcher. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2896490389&searchtext=launcher

Man just watched in task manager. 2k Launcher spawns 9 threads , but does nothing . lol. And then it never closes any of them , even when steam says i can launch again.
I even tried just launching the MMS executable directly and still does same thing.

That works, mine was in E:\SteamLibrary folder tho.

Screw Launchers in Launchers in Launchers...... More problems then their worth

Worked for me too. I got through the 2 tutorial battles and the avatar creation and I'm ready to begin the main story. Thanks for the help.
