There should be a mini-map while running around the Abbey grounds.

Totally agree. One could make an argument about "immersion" but, cone on...

It would have taken a bit of frustration out of what to me was the most annoying part of the game.

I too would have preferred a mini-map...

Also the term "immersion" has way too many meanings... Ask anyone what their definition of "immersion" is and how they get immersed in something and each person will answer differently.

To not hurt the immersion, maybe adding an option to allow it or not, like this everybody plays the way they want.

It's a small map, there's literally no need for it. I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ memory and still know the entire map, what does that say about you?

I did wish for mini-map at first, but frankly exploring Abbey stops being a thing so quickly it doesn't really matter.

Probably says that most people don't play this game to the point of having the location of every collectable burnt into their brains. Or it says your memory focuses on the most useless information.

There should be for those who need it. Toggle off for those who don't. My suspicion is that it isn't an immersion thing but them running into limits for the older hardware (console?) and not implementing it for anyone as a result. Abbey side was the one they seemed to have struggled with most and was picked up on even the first preview period before they pushed the release date back.
