Alot of people assume that just because you get those cards of set and syph that you need to use them straight away. well you shouldn't.
With dark hunter you can also mind controla nd have the dread maidens attack the enemies for you. with my light hunter i have 2 morningstars on a quick that i had build up in previous seal stages. so the morningstars did incredible damage.
Agreed. and to be honest. Up to Ulti2 the game is pretty much the same. it isn't till Ult 3 you really need to pay attention since you can't afford a mistake that has a hero go down. I too play for the challenge. However due to the endless champion/friend levels you can gain. you'll eventually outlevel that challenge as well.
How do you keep the cards between phases when playing the seal discards your entire hand?
Thought Zedd's post-run commentary landed about where I am with it. The game is very flexible in what you can use so long as you build your decks around how you're using them. Everything else just adds style points. I don't chase after specific mods, I have an idea of what I want generally but I can get there in different ways.
The rest is just the basics of TTBs. Even on U3 in the final missions you can have wriggle room. I found the first phase to be the messiest for me on both my completions but that's really me being slack on positioning (although Charlie as a swap in is still BS). The second phase fights are really about the cards you can get and utilising them effectively while keeping the second character alive with your overpowered hunter. Some form of heal from Hunter is always good to have in your pocket - even Dark Heal (one I used applies resist too).
I don't savescum, I play an honour ironman in most games, but I did save/reload mid-mission a couple of times on my second completion just to see if it would help with the technical stuff. (It did seem to fwiw.)
