Was this meant to be a mobile game?
I have a thought that maybe this was meant to be a free to play mobile game, that received last minute updates before it's reveal. Here are my main points.

1. prerendered cut scenes are like 720P at best (I'm running it at 4K on a 3080)
2. In game textures are fairly inconsistent and not great.
3. Camera is not adjustable
4. The game has a cash shop, and all of the combat skins for companions have to be purchased for real world $.

Apparently people are too dense to read points without a thesis written for each one, so here is a more detailed breakdown of each point.

1. I an running the game at 4K on a 3080 and 4K OLED TV. The prerendered cutscenes look BAD. They are soo bad, they look worse than 10 year old games. The in game graphics have a higher resolution and better detail than the prerendered cut scenes.

2. The game itself doesn't look...great. It isn't bad, but in a lot of ways it reminds of me of older game that gets a decent remaster/upscaling. The textures and details are all ok, but it just looks to me like they were initially designed for a lower res game and then upscaled later one.

3. This is literally the only PC game I own that does not have at least a few camera settings. In the XCOM games you can control pitch, angle, rotation, camera distance, and different type of camera movements (including things like the camera moving/following on cinematic kills) and all of this can be accessed in the games menu. You can do even more editing of camera behavior by manually editing the ini file. In Midnight suns, you can rotate the camera and set rotational speed...and that is it.

4. This one should be self explanatory, but I have seen posts in other threads saying it has "some" items purchasable for real world money...but some is such a misrepresentation of reality it is borderline lying. Personally, I don't care how the heros look in their PJs, my only concern for skins is combat skins and weapons, and I am fairly confident the vast majority of people would agree that combat skins are the cool aspect of cosmetics. Every single combat skin for companions in the game is locked behind real world $ microtransactions.

How can you even tell? Seriously.

During combat, press Q and E to rotate camera, or use mouse wheel to zoom in/out.

I think maybe ya'll can't read good, or are just trolls? I didn't say you can't rotate the camera, I said you can't adjust it. Have you never played a PC game before in your entire life? Heck, have you ever played Xcom, Xcom2, or the new one...literally Firaxis games? They all allow you to ADJUST the camera. IE, zoom in and out and change camera settings.

And how can you tell a cut scene is 720P? Are you seriously asking how to tell a cut scene is low res on a 4K tv? It is pixelated, fuzzy, and has very little detail...Because it looks closer to a game from the early 2000s than it does a modern game.

Do you mean me or them? If me, which one of my actual points was untrue or trolling? I posted a theory backed up by easily demonstrable points in the game, and the response I got back were "Durrr...how do you know the things people can easily see are real?"

It's an Unreal Engine 4 game, for all the positives and negatives this means. Even Unity is beyond just mobile games these days. I'm sure there's a few mobiles that use unreal (probably Call of Duty, etc.) but no it's definitely not a mobile game.

I'm playing on a 4k 65in tv and everythings clear so that's on your end.

You can adjust the camera again that's on you.

There are many costumes in game you can unlock and all of the "store" costumes are in the legendary edition which you honestly buy for the season pass. Again that's on you.

Learn to read and stop calling others names and stop being an ass yourself.

There's actually an acknowledged (via 2k tech support) bug with some cut scenes where there can be a blurry effect.

Not sure how it fits with the bigbrained thesis in the OP but I'm going to go with QTWTAIN.

OP is trying hard for some jester awards. Since I don't want to give you points, dhxjarsyl, I'll just let you know you're a total clown. :Avengers:

Listen this place really isn’t the place to post such a thoughtful comment dude. no matter how clear you try to articulate yourself people will literally go out of their way to not really engage in the conversation & read you comment try to determine what side you fall on and then attack accordingly.

1.I have a 78 in OLED c1 & your absolutely right & if someones mad your pointing it out they
A-don’t have a good enough tv to notice
B-they notice but it doesn’t bother them
C-they notice but took someone bringing up this point as some kind of attack on them so they say things like “everything’s clear so that’s on your end” that’s a lie. You either fall into ABC

2.I have played this game on pc & ps5…& for what it’s doing (basically really good battle chess) with no previous gen versions it is strange the it looks worse than marvel strike force 👈 that is not opinion it is factual.

3. Lmao I understand what you mean about the camera angles. It’s attached to a character & their action & it’s oriented from there.
Example.
-using captain marvels photon ray or some other abilities are sometimes hard to orientate after choosing them. You can scroll from and around the character but the camera is stuck on the character.

4.it’s not just you, A lot of people complain about the micro transactions. Lol with how the game looks I’m not really in a rush to buy skins but I can sympathize

All that said….I can’t stop playing this broken game & I bought it twice thinking another platform would perform better.

Ah, yes, the fabled perfect way to start a constructive conversation, the patronizing insult. I don't see how it could do disservice to your argument or put you in a negative light.
