Awesome I can get the top tier edition for £53 atm, so I am extremely tempted if you can skip the dialogue. How long did a playthrough take you skipping it all?
40 hours is combat
40 hours is the cut scenes, dialogue and friendship stuff.
on ym 2nd playthrough i'm cutting the last bit out as well by skipping it and honestly. i dont feel i'm missing anything. the flow and pace of the game actually feels better as a result.
Ye that was the impression I got. Alright i'm gonna pop it. Thanks
I'm sorry i will have to disagree there, it's proper fanfic territory. Blade too shy to ask captain marvel out, book clubs as an excuse to be with her and call the college hijinks yea... Not my cup of tea at all
The game is rated 12+, so this is what they could do within those limitations.
The main story is pretty decent. However the friendship interactions and hangouts are indeed very bad fanfic with a high degree of highschool teen drama. I just can't take any of them serious as a friend. so I would advice to at least skip those dialogues. you won't be missing out on anything important.
The frienship side of the game is indeed fantasy fullfillment where you the player with your character gets to make friends with all of these Marvel superheroes, and there's no way to write that inside the confines of a single game without heavy suspension of disbelief. Avengers didn't instantly become friends within their first story either, relationships take time to develop.
Hence the whole thing is gamified and turned into a system where you earn points to gain bonuses and perks for high enough friendship levels. These are fairly significant and can mean the difference between loss and victory on higher difficulties, depending on player skill of course.
If the dialogue feels too cringe and you only care for the points, it can indeed be just skipped with right mouse clicks.
