2) I noticed some bugs as well, but nothing big. it was more of beating a doggo and his corpse just stood there t-posing. couldn't target him or anything. as well as 2 or 3 other minor bugs. nothing game breaking on my end.
3)the fight was not unbalanced at all. it was quite enjoyable and I beat it on Heroic 3 without too much effort. my issue was that the 4th section dumped 2 dread maidens and 2 tanky boys on me that just took me out. I messed up tactically. then i had to redo ALL the seals again. Not having a checkpoint save between each seal completes is the only complaint i had. Thankfully though you can do a manual save which I did the second run. During the 2nd run I had also learned to save up some of those God cards you get and take them with me to later portion of the fight. Stunning and making the dread maidens vulnerable...man I cleared all of them in 1 round that time around.
The Non-Hunter hero is indeed quite squishy. Just manage the enemies on the board and make it so they don't target that hero. wasn't difficult. I had no issues regarding this insta-KO. Only Wolverine took several hits and he still stayed alive. All other heroes never took a hit to begin with.
Also any friendly ko's don't insta end the fight unless you had 1 go down in the first part... which is the fight pre-seals. After all... you only get 1 revive for effectively 6-7 phases of a fight since it is seen as 1 fight. you get the 4 seal phases and prior to that the 2-3 times you need to down the boss before you get to the seal section.
I just came here to complain about the same thing, even opening the menu to change settings had single digit frame rate, and then when I finally managed to get to settings open and select medium the game stalled so hard I thought it had crashed. Medium settings gave me 40+ fps in that fight. (I'd played the rest of the game on epic settings with no issues).
As for bugs I had one of the infested dread maiden fall through the world, luckly I was able to damaged them with a bladestorm which brought them back up.
There's been a couple of threads on this. I completed pre-patches but it's definitely rough. Mobs not despawning and stuck in default poses on death and animations being skipped was my experience pre-patch.
Someone suggested a save/reload helped them so I'll be recording (for bug reporting) and trying that this time round.
On unbalanced, mmm. Kinda and can see how it could be. I got Charlie as a summon in on the first phase (who got smashed but there's environmental cards to revive on that) but Dr.Strange instagibbed the entire map on his second card play when he came up for me in the final phases. This was on U3. Can imagine situations where it's going to be really stinky to do depending on decks etc.
Checked the settings and for some reason, it had turned all my graphics settings up to the max. Well beyond what my hardware can handle.
Last mission wound me up properly at one stage, was going well until the final seal. Then one character was bound, the other given the confusion debuff. Leaving me with no option but to just... end turn without taking any actions. Resulting in my Hunter going from full health to 14 in one turn, with nothing I could do about it.
There's a keybind to cycle heroes that should work even when you can't select by clicking. By default it's Tab. Quitting and reloading an autosave often works for this sort of thing too.
Hopefully one of those fixes the issue.
You fail if you can no longer play the Seal cards. This happens if the hero required to play it is downed and you have no revives left. Thus Wolverine can go down once, as he has a personal revive, you are ok to continue if you bring a Phoenix Flame combat item, and you can use that twice if you get Doctor Strange to refresh it with his Astral Meditation+ card.
In terms of avoiding K.O.s you can mostly kill the enemies targetting the more fragile heroes. The usual methods of Straight to Hell, Banish and conceal work as normal to make you completely safe. You can guarantee conceal as an option with the Vial of Shadows consumable.
Aside from that you can make use of resist against everything in the second phase that isn't a dread maiden. You can make sure not to stand by the rifts that you could be knocked into for extra damage and use any standard tactic to build block to reduce your exposure.
Kept dropping to stutter frames near the end of each turn, so I'd just save and load again every time it did to continue onto the next turn with reset smooth framerate.
Definitely made that fight a little more annoying than it should've been lol.
Oh man, I got this too - plus an invulnerable shield bearer. Annoying, but also somewhat funny: three air superiorities from iron man later and the map was still littered with splitters and the shield guy was still standing.
As far as I can tell, you need to use the seal card asap when you get it instead of mopping up the remaining enemies. (I hadn’t realized that they would be knocked out by using the seal card.)
But even then there was some noticeable stuttering by the end of the fight.
