Pretty sure there are two main male body types the game uses: one buff and one Mega buff. Hunter, Peter, Robbie, etcetera use the former, Wolverine, Steve, and Blade use the latter. Blade should probably belong in the former category, but they likely wanted to make him look bigger and more intimidating than the other dudes.
You can make heroes where their combat suits in the abbey
Blade was the first good superhero movie from Marvel, and its success enabled the X-Men movies which then enabled the MCU. I hope the new Blade movie somehow manages to be good, the current MCU phase has been very rough.
Part of the issue is one of the default Abby stances seems to be leaning back with your gut out. On the slimmer character model(like Tony or Stephen) it looks odd but when you occasional see Blade or Cap do it, it’s looks like they are rocking my Dad bod.
The old school Ghost Rider skin does look good, I have been alternating between it and default Robbie. But if they ever add the Ghost Rider 2099 skin, I'm going to buy it and use it the most. 😎
It's not necessarily about shallow preferences at all. A game like this plays heavily with nostalgy, that's exactly why Magik is so popular. A lot of us older gamers feel the same about Carol's long hairstyle, she had it even before her black costume with the golden lightning bolt.
To some people, to not have it is like Iron Man not having a red & gold armor or Blade not having a leather jacket. It just makes sense that they would be selling Carol's Ms. Marvel skins in the marketplace at some point, because those would indeed sell.
