To give a bit more detail, basically just play the story until Dr Strange outright lets you know he found a way through. Don't worry, you can't miss it.
Yep. The same goes for the club meetings, you need to progress in the main story to trigger more of them if they seemingly stop happening.
The game does not do a good job of telling us when we can't progress further, so we may be told everything is ready and then wait days or even weeks til it triggers.
Still, it's nice to not be pushed forward until you're ready, so I can forgive the lack of hints in a few places. The Abbey is all about mysteries anyway, so it's kind of fitting.
