How many times can you upgrade cards?
Is there a max level? I see some of my cards have a + and others have a star on them?

Star means the card is modded - has special additional (random) effect added to it. You can build crucible (?) to work with this mechanic yourself.

Plus means the card has been upgraded.

You can have 4 types of cards - basic, upgraded, moded basic, moded upgraded. Moded upgraded are the strongest ones and getting the correct is the tricky part as they are random.

So once a card is + I can no longer upgraded and should just breakdown duplicates?

you can upgrade a card once, then you can add a modded ability to the card as many times as you like.

And to add those modded abilities you need another duplicate of the same card I'm assuming? I think I just figured that out as I noticed I added taunt to a card that already had other abilities on it.

Well you can save one modded card with a good mod on it....so you can upgrade it.

or you can do the more expensive thing which is to reroll the mod on the upgraded card you might already have (or add a mod to the upgraded card and reroll it =)

No, once a card is upgraded, you can add modded ability with essences and gold. The rarer the card, the more essence it requires. You can only mod an upgraded card. So if you get a legendary card, you can't add mod to it till you upgrade it, or it comes pre-modded(the one with *)

Premodded card doesn't need a duplicate to be upgraded.

Do the cards LVL up with you?
Because I have 2 of the same cards, but one of them is like 14 dmg and the other is like 30 dmg....

I'm afraid that if I were to invest of my perfect build with good mods, I'm afraid that I might waste them since my duplicates is a bit higher than my current one. (I'm still in the first part of the 2nd Chapter)

Yes, cards are based off your offense. If you have two different cards that are the same, one is upgraded (has a +) and/or has a star as it is modded.

Let me be clear, "no" you are simply seeing different numbers but not sure what to attribute that to. Cards are correct, if you think something is strange, take a screenshot of each and post it here.

No, but your stats will affect the damage of cards. For example as a hero's offense increases, the damage shown for a card will increase. But the cards are just the cards, they can be upgraded and/or modded but any two cards with the same treatments will have the same stats.

you should of noticed as you upgraded there is a certain amount of cards to use to make it more powerful for off you used 1 and when you did the right side shows 5/5 or some 6/7 so once you used 1 next you will need 2 of the same card and the numbers will have a bonus plus the attack power lets say started at 16. Next upgrade will be for example 24. These numbers are just examples but just look at your cards as it changes.
