Using DirectX 11 and disabling 2K launcher solved all my CTD problems.

Like many users, i had a lot of CTD issues, while playing Midnight Suns. It was like my Video Memory didn't refresh. Reading some posts in this forum, i followed two suggestions, disabling 2K launcher, and forcing DirectX 11.

The way to do it is simple:

1 - Locate your MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe file in your game directory. To do it, right click on Midnight Sun in your game library on steam --> properties --> local files --> Browse. In the game directory open Midnight Sun-->Binaries--> Win64 directories. MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe is in Win64 directory, copy his path.

2 - Then update launch option of your game in steam. Right click on Midnight Sun in your game library on steam --> properties --> General --> Launch option.
In launch option write this line : "Path to midnight MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe" -d3d11 %command%

The following exemple is my own command line :
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marvel's Midnight Suns\MidnightSuns\Binaries\Win64\MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe" -d3d11 %command%

The -d3d11 part is to force DirectX 11 instead of DirectX12

Important : You will have to launch the game from steam

THANKS!! Taking these steps of disabling the 2K launcher and using DirectX 11 seems to have fixed the problems I've been having since the patch come out. I can run the game without it hitting the ultra slow frame rate glitch at all even on EPIC graphic settings.

I have a better solution you could try:
Everytime you start the game, go to SETTINGS in main menu and choose GRAPHICS on top, then RESET SETTINGS TO DEFAULT, and continue you game.
Im runnung 3440x1440 on epic with DLSS balanced, TXAA and no RT on, it runs PERFECT now! and im on 3070 ti

This stopped my CTD every time I tried to sleep. After patch it broke the game but after disabling the 2K launcher and changing virtual memory paging sizes to 12000 to 30000 max. That enabled me to actually load / play game. Until I hit the sleep bug with CTD every time today.

I installed the game from the Epic Game Store and had the same issues. But since I followed the suggestions here and a workaround on reddit, it works fine (Win10, i9, RTX4090):
* DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 12 (:-) on my laptop even 12 works)
* Fullscreen (note: this is not the default setting)
* Change virtual memory size (changed from auto to specific settings)
* Bypass 2K launcher ( https://www.reddit.com/r/midnightsuns/comments/zlm1ka/method_to_bypass_2k_launcher_for_epic_games/ ). Windows event log shows a lot of errors occured by the launcher app.
