Steam Deckers! Lets make an official steam deck thread here. So after latest update the game is dead!

Yeah and with the Cloud Saves messed up I can't get them over to my PC either...

I did try "ln -s" to get my folders to sync but...

It sucks I had 20 hours on game deck.... cant play it any more.... if I want to continue on PC - no sync - HAHAHA!

I had 30 hours in and while trying to get it to run the crash threw up and randomly deleted the my saves and since for some bizzare reason they guys released a AAA game without cloud save that's all she wrote for my playthrough. I uninstalled the game (which I already had been having misgivings about) it'll be tough to have the will to start over even when they fix this garbage. Oh well paid the price for buying a game on release, I'll add Fireaxis to my list of companies to "never pay full price" for their games

You can fix this by going to game options (gear icon 2 buttons over from Play), "Properties", in "General" under Launch Options type:

%command% -d3d11

Then relaunching the game.

Same issue, have basically only been playing on Deck, which has been excellent - and now it doesn't work. Good stuff.

Hey, all - wanted to try and help if I can. The %command% -d3d11 forcing the dx11 is what worked for me. I was able to resume playing like normal so far (only been about 15 minutes) and all my stuff is still intact

On the game in your library - go to the game and right click - hit properties - general - under launch options - enter the command in that line.

I'm admittedly surprised to hear it caused issues with the steam deck; bummer. That, and the fact that we still have to manually fix the cloud saving for it to work at all is disappointing.

Starting a new game instead of loading previous saves works.

I can confirm this worked for me as well.

After new update, I went to sleep the first time and now the game continually crashes trying to load my game
