What's the best costume for the hunter and why is it the ancestor one?

Personally speaking, I absolute love this outfit, least on the female hunter, not sure how the male one looks, I imagine it's bare chested and thus inferior, but jokes aside, what is your favourite costume to use on the hunter and why?

On a side note, I absolutely love the option to toggle random outfits every day and it even cycles through the colour schemes, whomever added that needs a raise.

Hunter stands for both Light and Darkness.

I'm with you in my choice but I think the best costume, and more importantly the colors for it, depends a lot on gender, alignment and personal taste of the player.

At first I was swapping around a lot, but then I settled with this a while ago. Only added a headband but I'm not certain about that one.

ps. I dont have the game yet but Im very interested in it.. From the images it seems that the colors of the game could be more varied. Things look bland, not in a gritty way but just in a boring way.

I can neither confirm nor deny this. The reason being if you're looking at a screenshot you'll have colors filtered three times: First by the screenshot compression of Steam that most people use. Second by the color settings the person taking the screenshot is running. And third on your screen's color setting when you look at a picture.

All I can say is in my game, subtle colors seem subtle, green vegetation seems natural, and things like red hair or pink sneakers seem accurately depicted. Spell effects like fire or blue magic swirls appear very saturated for me.

I basically have no complains about the colors... however, since I own two PCs and played some games (not this one) on both of them I can say it is possible to perceive the same game completely different on two machines.

It's not a showpiece picture - there are far more interesting places in the same building, just an easy save/load point in Hunter's bedroom. The building is a medieval abbey transported to a pocket dimension so very grey, and a lot of the pictures I've got up are done in an antique style with browns and yellows. (Should also say I'm very, very sensitive to primary colours so I definitely don't dial things to make them pop - they pop enough for me as it is!)

Midnight suns one, the mask and hood is modern and matches a demon slayer style look imo.

It’s just a shame the midnight suns costumes for everyone else looks pretty lame though.

The tattoos on the ancestral armor kinda kill it for me. They're not there if I wear a tank top, or do anything in the pool, and that feels super weird - same reason I can't wear the demon horn accessories.

Apropos of nothing, I'd love to see a mod at some point - if it's possible - to remove the capes from certain Hunter armors. They look fine, but if you do pretty much anything in combat they physics out and it looks *really, distractingly weird.* I know it's possible, 'cause if you wear the endgame suit around the abbey the cape is nowhere to be seen.

I wear the refurbed metal armour with the Valkyr helm because I think it's a sweet match. But if I wasn't, I'd be in Ancestor for sure.

There's just too much stuff stuffed onto the ancestral suit I get visual overload. I can't even say what it looks like. If I *had* to guess I'd say to me it looks like stuff on stuff with stuff.

Borderline with the shocky tech weapons and goggles is my favorite.
Its important when hanging out with my fellow Suns that we all look like a biker gang. Doubly so whenever Blaze is around.

I like the Warlock top the most on my female hunter. Can't bear to change Illyanas default combat outfit either because it's got the New Mutants colors and that Warlock button. <3
