I wrote this post as a lighthearted bit, but in seriousness I don't think you need to ♥♥♥♥ up to use items.
There's loads of really powerful ones that just let you finish missions faster by saving card plays.
For example the 'vulnerable and marked', 'all attacks are critical', the 'taunt the guy that has counter on them' ones.
Increasing the difficulty slides the combat items very organically into the routine as they become cheaper to make and more necessary to have too, but most players just don't do that.
So this achievement will remain relatively rare. Most players also never use the full crafting/research mechanics of a game when it has multiple layers of them like Midnight Suns.
It's just how it is.
Then throwing healing, for when your healer (hunter) goes down...
translation: "run around magical marvel hogwarts and pick mushrooms to craft the good ones that are worth using, you madmen"
No... I hate that aspect of the game. I don't even use the ones that I get for free. If a hero team can't do the job without them, it's not a good hero team. Give me ways to get those reagents without mindless busywork exploring the abbey grounds I've already practically memorised and I'll consider it. I want to earn my shizz doing the thing I love, the actual combat/tactical cardgame part :^)
I run around the woods collecting the mushrooms and plants for distilling heroic, skill and attack essences from them for additional card upgrades. I don't mind brewing potions in Loki's enchanted cauldron with my character of eldritch bloodlines and communing with Oshtur and the other elder gods, that is part of Marvel too. 😎
Captain Marvel in Binary with taunt on every enemy, and with that card is quite something.
Draw 2 cards, Gain 2 Heroism, add vulnerable to an armored enemy, etc.
If you want to clear a Nest Mother in the first turn, they come in handy.
yes but it's not X-com!!!!!11!!!one!!111! :^)
I jest, nah I'm good with it being a thing in concept I can just see it becoming a bit of a chore in the long term also if that's the ONLY way to obtain them, you need to give me reasons to want to go back out into those areas once I've done them, otherwise it'll become tedious.
second most used item is draw 2 card from a hero deck.
that's for mid-late game.
in early game(<10days), I only use the one grant 2 heroism.
