The writers seems to excel in one-on-one interactions. If it's just Hunter and a hero, the dialogue trends toward passable. Add a third wheel, though, and characters begin "yes and"ing each other to death or play the "How many adverbs can we fit in a sentence" game.
I appreciate the generally positive rapport the characters have, especially after the game started with two separate "heroes fighting heroes" scenes. What gets annoying, again, is when they try to bring in a third wheel.
"Tell me about yourself, Carol."
"I'd rather tell you about how AMAZING the Hulk is!"
I'm pretty sure Firaxis got told no, then the writers got absolutely as close to implying it as they could get away with.
Well then my head canon says we are doing the limbo in limbo.
Walking up to a character and having a conversation is bad. Its also ranges from character to character which obviously each had a different writer.
Remember the cool/reclusive character Blade? He now acts like he is in high school. He has a crush. etc. Its just bad.
Some of the characters are one dimensional even in comics like Captain America which makes it painful to have a conversation with.
I like how they ask your opinion on topics, and that your response guides character devrlopement (sometimes friendship, light/dark points, or combat perks)
Now who is being cringe, christ are you 12?
I know most people will call out Tony for his horrible dad jokes, but I greatly enjoy those in a "so bad they are good" kind of way. Maybe i'm just built different. I find humour in most things people say is cringe so I revel in it.
