That certainly looks like a misprint as you never discard it since it exhausts. If I read that upgrade I'd be like, "Hard pass"

if im right the discard mechanic is when u played the card and it should stayed in ur hand? right?

Discard means it goes back into the deck. Exhausting means it's a one-time thing though so not discarding it means nothing as far as I'm concerned.

No, discard means to remove from your hand. Exhaust means that once it's played it does not return to the deck. The two are distinct things..

Normally when you use that card without it being upgraded it's one use per mission. But when it's upgraded it doesn't leave your hand when you use it to heal someone below half health.

I have this same version (I believe, mine might be upgraded...or it might not be)

But yeah, if the char you're healing has less than 50% health when you heal them you keep the card in your hand.

Everyone above is right, but it's definitely poorly worded. It should say 'If target below 50% health does not discard or exhaust'.

I respectfully disagree , exhaust just means "remove from the game on discard" so no discard , no exhaust. And if you play a discard card ,say 'whip', and this card is chosen , its bye bye for the mission

Nope not correct. Exhaust removes the card when played, not if you discard it.

I've discarded that heal directly and had it back in my hand no problem multiple times.
