how do you unlock more power abilities to open doors?

it's a step by step process.

Explore everything, get the elemental rods.
unlock the first seal, do missions, unlock second elemental seal, explore everything, it will unlock new progressions and stuff to do at night, which will unlock a mission for 3 seal... so on and so forth until you get all 4 and what that entails.

Missions to unlock seal get pretty hard after the second one tho, be warned. you may have to save/craft different skills you normally use just to be able to pass them.

yeah its harder than u think i guess. I cant even find the elemental rods but i guess its supposed to be easy.

i just will try to use the guide to find the last one whatever it is, i feel like i spent multiple times trying to explore every corner that i can currently access, and still havent found it

One is next to the pool
One is on a plinth in walled off area (again behind an Oshtur door) past Agatha's altar (the place with the broken window that you go for EMO KIDS)
One is in the room behind the barracks
One is behind the Oshtur door to your tomb

I could be mistaken but IIRC those are the locations. Also if you don't wish to read my spoilers you can read Wanda's Journal in the Library. It will point to the next part of your sidequest such as where the objects are. But it only adds a new hint the next day after solving the current one.
