The abbey exploration feels a bit better walking around using a stick instead of WASD, but in combat the mouse is much faster and even more precise for aiming objects or attacks at enemies, personally I use both, controller for out of mission stuff and mouse for in combat.

You will probably want to up the sensitivity on the mouse when inside the Abbey but once you do that it's fine. In combat M+K is much better.

I started with mouse and keyboard, but it is definitely better with a controller in my opinion.

I've been swapping back between streaming to my Steam Deck (controller layout) and PC, and I have to agree that while they both have their advantages, they're both at least usable in all circumstances. The Abbey parts definitely remind me of the exact clunkiness of controls on kb/m with Dragon Age Inquisition, but my only irksome gripe atm is the controller clunkiness when you go through the steps to aim and choose abilities in combat, but its definitely do'able.

ex) Using the Tactical Cam on a multi hit beam ability had the camera stuck constantly moving in one direction til it went off-screen.

The only reason i play with the controller is the constant reset of my key bind. The game just return to default key layout every launch.

I just use keyboard. Not having analog for the Abby is the only negative.

I used keyboard and mouse and the game felt like ♥♥♥♥.

It's made with controller in mind. XCOM is the inverse.
