Meanwhile ... i have all ultra with a meager 5600x+6800xt and guess what ... i have 100fps as well in 3440x1440 in the abbey and 40fps with both RTX options on.
feels like your 4090 is a scam ... most people have issue in other titles... aka callisto protocol and Darktide as well.
guess it's now the norm for dev to release ultra unoptimized mess. not gonna lie, i miss the days when release actually meant it was playable with very little bugs and mostly optimized and playable.
nowadays we are served hot garbage when it comes to optimizations/performances/bugs
The game runs perfectly for me now.
I disabled. Got maybe 7 frames or so.
They real key, like all other new releases until it's optimized:
Turn off Ray Tracing
The 4090 is a luxury item. The xx90's have always been a card that's overpriced but offers the best performance.
I'm more than happy with my purchase. And I'm sorry, but reviews don't lie. Gamer Nexus said it themselves. The card is in fact a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beast.
What I'm upset with is that games release with Ray Tracing completely unoptimized.
The fact that patches are needed to fix released games being the norm is disgusting. In a AAA title no less.
Feels bad.
Yup.
