Lamest costumes I have ever seen.

Did the art dept let their children design these "edgy" costumes? I survived 90's comics, yet these are far and away the worst outfits I've ever seen.

Every. Single. One. The whole black and gold color scheme, the lack of elegance and simplicity, the overall gaudiness of it all. I think the worst part is giving them all the same color scheme takes away their individual coolness. Its like a really bad tokusatsu show where you can't tell any of the characters apart.

I'm not against a cool redesign. Marvel did a bunch of Tron themed covers some years back, and I thought most of those costumes looked cool, if a bit over the top. The Arkham-verse is my favorite version of DC comics, period.

I lost interest in turn-based tactical games years ago. I have seen screenshots of characters in their classic costumes though, thank goodness for that.

Sounds like you're describing the MS costumes. The default costumes are the characters' normal costumes, and most look fine.

Yeah, the marketing for this game pretty much only highlighted those awful gold and black outfits.

all the designs fits the theme my dude ... Midnight suns thematically have black/gold(or yellow) or red/black colors.

if you dont like the colors... guess what there are palettes.

you can go white, black, red, greed, grey... you get like 10 ish different color for your tastes.

I've always liked dark color with metallic combinations, and I like those as an option, but the whole color palette thing is daft. Give me a color wheel and let me choose the colors I want. Unfortunately, that wouldn't fix the real problem that is the shapes of most of the costumes being boring and/or bad, and it wouldn't fix the inability to combine different accessories like capes, or different head pieces. Maybe I want to equip a hood AND a mask, but you can choose only one.

Like almost everything about this game, it's just one more spot where they didn't take the thought far enough to it's fullest and most natural and polished finished end point. They stopped at 'good enough', except it isn't — not even close.

I am mostly ok to 10/10 with their skins , except for Cap - like yeah maybe Firaxis should've taken some inspiration from either the cartoons or the 2nd movie, and Magic - the helm is way too big with the Midnight skin.
Either than that I absolutely love all the other skins , some of the base ones like Wolverine, Magic and Ghost Rider are prty cool with some of the coloration palette.

yeah i think some costume really like detail. specialy captain marvel and Ironman defaut one.
Feel they kinda push you to buy skins with those 2.

happy that we can get the bleeding edge for free right now with the promo code because ironman basic skin is really really low quality.

but i really like the others skins

It's mostly problem with the art style IMO. They would look much better if they were full on comic style or dark and gritty realism. That white plastic skull of ghost rider for example feels so bad to watch at.

Sounds like your gripe is with Marvel themselves...the default color schemes are lifted right from the comics. If you don't like tactical games and you don't like Marvel comics...why are you even here? And you have the audacity to denigrate the game as edgy? Go look in the mirror edgelord....
