Disabling the 2K Launcher REALLY helps

I heard that the 2K launcher affected other games and so I went into the launch options in Steam and pointed it to the executable directly (on my system it was this - "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marvel's Midnight Suns\MidnightSuns\Binaries\Win64\MidnightSuns-Win64-Shipping.exe" %command%

Since I did that I can actually play the game on my low end system rather than the unplayable state it was in before that.

Interestingly, the launcher seems to be disabled by default on Steam Deck. I didn't know what people were talking about

This needs a sticky. Launcher is hot garbage weighing the game down somehow.

How did you do that with Windows 11? I haven't got the launch options at the bottom to the properties :/

I disabled it but game yet to load passed Lilith kicking everyone's butt

And if you're just looking to launch it, you can right-click Midnight Suns in your library, go to Manage > Browse Local files, then navigate through MidnightSuns > Binaries > Win64 to get to the exe you want.

thank you for this. the stutter is still there but not as much as was before cause before game was almost unplayable cause stutters and freezing was too much. until there is a update to fix the issue i recommend this post.

You can do it via Steam. I uhh... forget the exact process. Properties, then something on that, and there's an option at the bottom where you can just type in the thing.
There is no "confirm" after that. You gotta test to see if you did it correctly.

You don't right click on it in Windows, you right click on it in your Steam Library.

Oh thank you ! I entered the complete command line (the path to the .exe with the %command% behind it) in the Steam launch options, and it worked fine.

Thank you. You saved me from returning the game. Bypassing the 2k launcher fixed 90% of my issues.

It helped a lot until the game crashed again. After disabling it my load times decreased and stability increased.. Ughh. The game play so far and graphics are awesome. Can't wait until they patch the issues. This is going to be game of the year when they get it all figured out.
