Controller Support

Thus far, I haven't found a way to get my controller to work for this game. I know for a fact that my controller works with other Steam games — and I know for a fact that this game should have controller support (given that it also had releases on Switch and the PlayStation). Has anyone figured out how to use controllers for this game yet?

I wanna know what settings make the PS5 controller work with the game. It doesn't need to be special DualSense rumble.

ya that's two AAA games in a row not supporting dualsense, this and NFS Unbound. Though it's still usable just not with the right button prompts, I wish devs actually care about fully supporting them on PC.

I already had DS4 Windows installed with the controller plugged in, and I tried it out in Big Picture Mode (just in case that helps at all, I'm not sure if it matters or not.) I was able to use my PS4 controller with those options.

The reason I use DS4 Windows is that I had issues using the controller even with games where it shouldn't have been an issue. I also have reWASD installed, but my free trial is over. I think I liked it better, but haven't purchased it since DS4 Windows works for me.

Yeah, it's a big shame. I mean they only have to port the settings from PS5.

I suppose this is a good time to clarify that I just had a gaming session wherein I was able to successfully use an Xbox One controller to play the game. The controller I was failing to get to work was a PS5 DualSense controller. It seems as though that controller specifically is unable to register in the game — which, again, is ironic considering that the game also had a PS5 release. And even more so now that I've confirmed that you can use some controllers, just not all of them.

When using DS4 Windows or DSX you get a least simple rumble with the PS5 Controller.

I got it to work in big picture mode with my PS4 controller connected via bluetooth by choosing the option "forced on under magage game -> controller options -> steam input pre-game setting. Hope this helps!

For anyone else a bit late to the party I can confirm this worked with my Elite 2 controller, and then after doing it once I was able to launch it through regular Steam and it works fine now. Thanks!
