There's no support for mods in the press and preview build/s. Not seen anything to suggest that is something which will change.
It's a Marvel licensed game, don't expect any official support.

There's no way in hell that the insanely greedy publisher 2K would allow it when they can just deliberately exclude tons of content so you have to pay almost double the price for it all if you want it.

I mean, if you're gonna sell skins, are you gonna enable mods where people just make their own skins? Like that just sounds counter-intuitive.

Yep, exactly.

It's an Unreal Engine game... of course there's going to be mods. Will there be good mods? That's up to the community...

They'll pop up on Nexus Mods in a few weeks. Steam Workshop though? I agree with posters, that's gonna be a long wait even for a 2K game.

You all do realize that XCOM 2 was also published by 4K and remember all the mod support there.

I suspect with Marvel content there may be some policing of mods in official channels, like the the Steam stuff. No mods that might tarnish the brand but I suspect others will be fine.

Fair point, but I've noticed that 2K's greed has worsened over the years. XCOM 2 came out 6 years ago. Just look at the outrageous packages they're selling before the game is even out, which is a flagrant way of showing they're leaving content out and selling it separately, so they have no reason to let the community make their own.

There will be unofficial mods, unless the game has some sort of online content verification system built into it that disables mods. I'm keeping an eye on the game for a few days after release, just to see if that's going to be a problem. If it turns out to be mod friendly, then I'll probably pick it up. If not, then I'll stick with XCom 1 and 2.

Your entire post history for months is defending this game and you didn't even buy it. :meh:
