It could very well be crap.
Putting turn based combat in a marvel game is really weird and it could be a disaster.

I'm not questioning your preference but Marvel's Avengers is a steaming pile of crap that nobody wants yet it sold like hot cakes anyway. So if you hates turn-based gameplay then play that game instead.

I personally look forward to this game because it was made by Firaxis and not because it based off Marvel.

ngl.. the card presentation scared me off a bit.. but this is defenitely a purchase for me.. love xcom..

1- The graphics look absolutely awful.
2- Why did you switch to the TPS camera at the base, all the depth of the game is broken.
3- Tactical strategy with cards? really?
4- The abilities of the characters consist of 4-5 cards and it is scary to even consider upgrading the cards as an improvement.
5- The feel of the battle moments was completely pro-mobile game, and the isometric perspective was far from tactical.
6- You are showing us a costume, nobody is interested in these ridiculous costumes, you scare them even worse!
7- Team limited to only 3 hero on missions? I guess you want to move the game to mobile as soon as possible?
8- What does no permanent death mean? Play again if you lose, play again if you lose!

I did and you're right. They changed a lot of it to suit the difference between the cover mechanic focus of XCOM and Superhero abilities. I think it looks awesome and I was hoping they were gonna change a lot to make it it's own thing. It looks great to me, you don't have to think so, that's fine but for me it's what I wanted and no it's not a mobile game lolololol

actually i am reserving judgement until after i have seen a few more gameplay vdeos. i am not opposed to the decisions they have made, the artstyle looks decent and cardgames/deck based games can be a lot of fun, but those deck based games are hard to do right, so we will see.
I just thought i should point out it was nothing like xcom just in case you thought it was, did not want you to buy it because of that reason and than be disapointed that it was different.
