Stuck on the Loading Screen
Every time I try to boot up Kingdom, I get past the company logos and then the loading screen with the randomly generated king/queen will trot on forever. I have verified the game cache, I have restarted steam, I have rebooted my computer. How can I fix this issue?

Could you try to remove the game files and reinstall?

I have uninstalled via steam. I have deleted any files in the steamapps/common folder. I have tried re-installing it with and without the OST "DLC". No luck.

I had the same problem but I've managed to fix it... sort of... I went into my common folder and deleted everything inside and then went and verified cache to reinstall. Launching it from the common folder worked and I could play but as soon as I exited the game to test if it would work launching directly from Steam it got stuck again. So yeah... Wasn't much help but hopefully this'll get patched quickly or something

I turned off the steam overlay via steam settings and that seems to have worked!

I'm getting this same issue, turning off the steam overlay didn't help. I'm going to try removing game files and reinstall.

Yeah, sadly removing the steam overlay did nothing for me... D:

I tried removing the game files and reinstalling, no luck, still gets stuck on the loading screen. At first the horse's movement is slow and choppy like it's loading, but eventually all the choppiness goes away and he's just walking smoothly, but the game never progresses to the next screen

Ok, can you guys give me your system specs? We need more info to be able to understand why this is happening.

Windows 10, Intel Core i7-5500U CPU @ 2.4 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. What else do you need to know?
NoobTier Oct 21, 2015 @ 4:39pm

Game was fine during initial run. But after exiting and running it again. Black screen persisted even after reinstalling.

Edit: As a note, NoobTier might be experiencing something different because I think most of us haven't gotten it to run even once and for us it's not stuck on a completely black screen like his (if I'm understanding him correctly), it's stuck on the loading screen with the queen/king and horse, just the horse never breaks into it's gallop, it just keeps trotting along.

Ok, for those who get stuck with a black screen AFTER the king galloping, just go here: C:/Users/Username/AppData/LocalLow/noio/Kingdom and delete the "storage.dat" file. That should do the trick.
For who gets stuck at the galloping horse, we're still looking into it. We can't reproduce it here, thus it's not a simple task to fix it. Sorry for this!

Ok Etabubu, if you need more info or would like access to a system that is experiencing the problem I'm willing to work with you guys. I'd be willing to do any sort of troubleshooting, sending files, even resetting windows 10 and starting fresh I'm willing to help out however I can while the window for returns is still open.
