If I destroy 2 portals on one side

Enemies stop spawning there? Its not clear to me and I wanna be sure before I make my next move

They do stop spawning there normally, but I have heard that there is one exception; when you destroy the very last portal. Apparently, when you do so, enemies will spawn on both sides. This would be the only exception though.

strangely
I got a playthough with a fine map that make it easy to destroy portal
as well as I done both side, nothing happened except my people stop working and just grouping
and I got no enemy show up anymore except a few spawn in left edge
but they only attack when I get too close

it is a bug? I did destroy the third and last one just a little close time
Don`t know I should wait or give up.....

reload the save then I got back to the time before order
and finish the game...mmmm

just forgot about the both side final ambush
the last wave were looks nothing to fear:)
