Help on Achievement - For Five Days I Turned the Other Cheek
Has anyone figured out how to do this? This seems incredibly hard (at least for me) to NOT kill anything for much needed gold to survive the initial blood moon. Any tips?

I haven't done it, but I assume achieving it depends on exploring for treasure chest, and then maybe starting farming as early as possible. If you can generate enough gold in theory you can just bribe all the demons. I'm not sure if walls would help, as I don't think the demons actually retreat from sunlight.
You have to buy them off. Yet to survive the blood moon personally, keep messing up my timing on the last bit. Day 1: Start fire, don't recruit. Gonna need that daily gold. Run around and hope you find a chest with bonus gold. Night 1: 2 gold to pay off the attackers. Night 2: 4 gold. Night 3: 6 gold. Night 4: 8 gold. Day 5 you need 1 builder and a wall upgraded. Need to figure out which way the attack is coming from on the blood moon, drop all your gold on that side, then run run run away as far as you can to the other side, and hope you live until the achievement dings. Best of luck.

Walrus is correct.

There are two free treasure chests in the woods. You can find both on the very first Day. Just make sure your Horse is well fed on grass for the 45 seconds of Infinite Stamina and hoof it to both edges of the map. Eating grass each time its tired (forrested swamp grass doesn't count)

Then you just stand around all Day dropping coins on each side of your Camp during the night. You won't have enough Gold to pay off the Blood moon wave so it's all about stalling them until morning. The best way to do this is to build two level 2 walls and then drop the majority of your Gold outside of the correct one.

The objective is to pay for 75% of the Blood Moon enemies to leave you alone so it takes a really long time for the remaining 25% to finish your two walls off. Then it's simply a matter of running in the opposite direction until morning (make sure horse is well fed and that you have 1-2 Gold to pay off anything that comes out of a Portal.)

Thank you very much guys! Really the only achievement that seemed impossible haha.

This is the problem with Steam achievements. There are always some that are utterly ridiculous and both near impossible to get and killing all the fun if you get them. It's best to just play the game and ignore those arbitrary goals.
Some achievements do make sense, like getting x archers by day y. Achieving that means you're doing fine. It's what you should strive for anyways. Hunting such achievements will improve your performance. Herding is another example.
Not lighting your camp fire for three days on the other hand...

If you explore you can find portals that are not open (not glowing) I assume you can basicaly go past these at night run to the end of the map and stay there since demons have to travel from the portal across the entire map wich the proberbly won't even make. And otherwise you'll bribe them. The portals tend to swich up each day but sometimes both sides are open etc.. So do like guy said below and maybe my tip helps as well. I haven't tried it but I do use this strategy to send in my troops to kill the portals (if there not open they can't fight back). I also propose doing this achievement along with not lighting campfire for 3 days. This should be significantly easyer this way I suppoce.

AGAIN i haven't tried this but it seems the best way. PS: :Dosh: Grab it while you can :P

Rather than saving all the money I tried to get early farms. Got the achievement, but the rates of income were not enough to have money for all the blood moon wave monsters. On the blood moon, early on watch what portal will be active and head to the other side of the map, past both portals to the bridge. For me that was enough to win.
You clearly need to get both chests early. And when chopping trees you for some reason get extra money if you stay by the builders when they chop it.

I had only one archer. She alone beside chests and deers gave more than enough gold to feed the greed until the fifth day. At dawn, I'd return to base and drop 1, 2, 3, 4 gold on each side each day then stood next to archer in case a greed slipped away. On the fifth day, I had full bag of gold and dropped half on each side.

didn't get any chests or archers, just one builder. for 4 days I chopped trees (two acheivements in one). one monster each side first night, 2 second, 3 third and 4th, then set all the walls to build and ran in the direction the 5th wave wasn't coming from. n.b. you can see which portal it comes from by standing near. one which glows and spits will be active that night
I actually managed to survive until day 9!

Do it on the first island, get the unicorn first and then stand on top of grass in front of the entrance. If you came to the island with a full sack of gold you'll have more than enough gold for this achievement. only 2 monsters spawn for the first few days and only from one side of the map

It's definitley easier in New Lands Buldinn, but this was a Kingdom: Classic discussion and different tactics were required.

Are you kidding me? I thought you couldn't even kill a rabbit to get the Achievement! You mean you just have to not kill any Greeds? XD It's just really funny to me that I made one of these Achivements harder for myself than it actually is.
When I did it I hired 2 builders and on the first 2 nights the few Greeds can't even break through the walls. For the Blood Moon I had enough money to just pay off the whole thing. . .if I had known it would've been much easier to pay off the Greeds before they got to the walls so my archers didn't kill them. Oh well, less chance of botching it with no Archers I guess. . . ;)

the greed also will not attack after the night is over (when the roman numerals mark the start of a new day) so waiting on the far side of the map mean that the greed from the other side will not reach you in time before daybreak (on the first couple fo days at least). They will just run past you and will exit the map
not sure if this really helps though

Actually one of the easiest achievements for me, just pick both chests for gold and pay the monsters until the end of blood moon (day 5), you have plenty of gold to pay them, don't waste gold on builders, walls or the faster horse. Pay once you see them, on day 5 you need to run a little while you pay them, and that's it, i still had coins remaining on the end of day 5. The hardest achievement for me was "On the Fourth Day We Had a Feast" (Hunt 20 deer before the end of day 4).

Yeah, the early waves used to be stronger. Now it's a rather easy achievement.
