or during day run past portal to buy buffs for blood moons or portal siege
just throw couple of coins for jawas that spawn whey you pass by it
I haven't gotten that far yet but I assume you need the stone upgrade to build knights to destroy portals, and that is what was past the portal on my game. I realize now I actually had a good setup but I didn't realize it was a blood moon when I ran past the portal. They all just camped me and I couldn't get home.
I'm not 100% sure but on the blood moon day only 1 portal is active, and you can see it during the day.
So you know which side to defend. In the meantime you can explore whole other side past both portals.
merchant better be avoided
in the early game hammer overflow can do serious economical damage
in the late game scythes are useless
so only hire him, if you will be happy to receive ANY of the three tool types
I just got hit by TWO waves of enemies before my knights even reached the portal. How am I supposed to destroy it? It was definitely the middle of the day when they sent a second group..
EDIT: Just realized I need to make my initial launch point closer is all.
Send your knights to the far away portals on the day of rest (day after Bloodmoon). That's how I killed my far away portals, expanding toward them only makes you weaker.
