I've survived into the 85–89 range a couple of times now after 24 hours of played time. Took all four enemy portals down last game, but had my crown knocked onto a bridge by the last remaining enemy units (ogres) so lost anyway.

42 so far, a blood moon totally destroyed my troops and I couldn't recover fast enough.

Think my 3rd try was over 20 days.

But while i was moving around iin the teleporter i got telefragged by 20 enemies who somehow spawned between my front line troops and my castle

That may be a bug or i dont undestand enemy spawn very well.

I've found it helpful to have a mass of unemployed peeps waiting at base.

55, and then I attacked the last portal and I won.
I plan on trying to unlock all the achievements, but recruiting was getting harder and harder as days went by (my only surviving camp was pretty close to the last portal) and I wonder how bad swarms during blood moon can become.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but have you noticed any limit on how many "unemployed peeps" you can have shuttling back-and-forth at your base? Or how long? Do they eventually get bored and head back to the camps?

They don't get bored for sure. I've had at least 75 waiting (counted 50 in screen shots after hiring 20+ archers). Enough to replace an entire side should they get wiped out.

What I can't tell you, which I wish I knew, was were the waiting chaps an equal processor drag as the archers?

I had a similar experience running past an active portal. No monsters as I ran past the portal to explore the other side, so I thought the trip back should be easy enough (including 2-3 greed monsters that popped out, which I could run past or drop coins for). But no, when I went back that way, I was faced with what looked like a blood moon's army, but it was not blood moon and not night.

My longest so far is about 68 days, but I restarted that after accidentally removing some beggar camps and I could no longer acquire archers fast enough to replenish the troops. I am now doing better on another play through that is around 58 days right now.

ps. little tip if u want to survive till 100 easy just dont build catapults so the big ones dont throw the stones back at you and all u need to do is get as many archers as possible

94 and then my hunters destroyed the last portal by accident, so one of these days, I'll have to do it again to get the final two achievements.
