How Many Archers & Builders Should I Have On One Side?
Hello everyone!

I'm quite new (even though I've written a guide on how to make a lot of cash early on, which you should check out and give you FULL opinion on, even if its hate). *cough* *cough*, anyway as I said. I'm quite new to the game, and I need some help on defence. And I need some advice on how much archers and builders I should have on one side, then that gives me an estimate on how much I'm spending and effective ways on finishing the game. So if anyone can give me numbers on how many archers and how many workers, that would be awesome!

Anyway,

Thank for reading this,

Sincerely,

MonsterHaz. :conwayheadscratch:

for workers, you probably only need a few, 4-8, depending on if you use catapults.

archers, early on, i say 10-8ish on each side is a good amount to have, getting another couple for each side every few days.

Archers: As many as humanly possible.
Builders: 3-4 per side, as you don't want the catapults to be unmanned if possible once built, and the AI seems to prioritize leaving 2 at each.
Farmers: 6-10 total, 12+ if you run out of hunters. This should keep your money at the point where you can recruit, keep both statues maxed AND decently expand every day.
This worked for me getting the win in under 25 days achievement... on only my 2nd playthrough and first win.

Also, I'd suggest paying the merchant every time you see him until you have over 6 farmers, as if he gives you scythes, it's like 4 of them for LESS than 1 normally costs, however, after that you probably should ignore him, as it risks taking too many of your recruits for builders/farmers that you don't need.

I bought the game today and payed the Merchant three times. EVERYTIME he gave me hammers... I was massivly unhappy about it. Like three times a two of three chance to give me something useful but NO. In the end the final wave crushed me, partly because i had not enough archers... I should have delayed destroying the lastportal.

Merchants will be totally different in New Lands. Actually useful!

Didn't read anything o the answers, just gonna asnwer the question :
Builders for one side : 4 min on each sides,2 for the catapult and 2 for the repairs /builds
Archers for one side : As fokin many as you can ! the more oyu'll have, the easier your game will be.

and for the other side, the same amount.

Archers are your most important units... 10 archers per builder in early game and 20+ archers per builder for late game. Surviving late game demands massive armies (50+ archers on each side) so you need to recruit as many new citizens as possible every day.

i would say if you should have 2-4 builders early games and try to get as many archers(4-6 per day?) as you can becuase you would need a lot for when you detroy portals late game
(also i see this group called Kingdom Beta Team and i wonder how to join it)
