Idling for Day C Achievement
so in day 30 my kingdom is fully defended. Walls and Towers all at max and have too many hunters that sometimes it's lagging when raining and running. For now I'm just keeping archer shrine lit..

Is it safe to idle all the way to day 100? Anyone ever safely idling without archer shrine?

Someone in another thread said it's actually better to not use the archer shrine. It makes archers more accurate and late game you want them to shoot arrows over a wide area instead of having them all focusing in front of the wall and losing much of the damage potential.

I can't confirm this myself though. I thought the shrine made arrows stronger, not more accurate.

Correct, the archer shrine only increases accuracy, its only viable when you have, lets say less than 50 archers on both sides, it really shines against those big boys (breeders or whatever) but when you have +50 archers, accuracy isnt really that important anymore, and those pesky lil ones and floaters wont even make it to your wall against your hail of arrows.

I also found the towers unnecessary, even if you have a battalion of archers, the floaters might be able to snatch the 3rd guy on top if you have highest lvl tower, if you have all the archers on ground in the same bulk, floaters are a joke.

Same goes for the catapults, they are awesome at first but those big boys can throw the rocks back at you, and things tend to go south really fast when that happens.

So yeah, dont keep the archer statue lit lategame, keep the building statue lit instead.

As for idling for day C, not really sure if you can idle all the way, I just did the Day C myself yesterday, and i came back to check things every 15-20mins and rebuy the building statue.

I'm not really sure but usually I watch over my siege army when raiding porta, and they 100% never failed. I once forgot to lit the shrine and the portal was broken slowly. Not only that, the raid failed although none of my army killed, they just return. The sun was still shining.

I never failed to destroy a portal that I think it seems too easy. Defending after enemy raging because their portal destroyed however is a different story. Still not that hard tho..

Seeing as portal is stationary target, I think shrine actually boost damage.

Yeah it's a bad idea, otherwise the game is broken..
here's my experience yesterday

Day 30~ : start idling
Day 50~ : 1 wall broken, rebuilt it. recruit 10-20 archers. idling
Day 60~ : 1 wall broken again, rebuilt, recruit around 20 archers. idling
Day 80~ : no wall broken afaik. recruit more anyway. took a nap wearing earphone

woken up on Day 105 to see the king just being attacked (from the sfx I guess?), luckily got the bag full of bribery material. Portal is on the left and I left the king near the sickle maker. run all the way through the right to get back up from right wing army. when I reach portal, I teleport back to near castle/fort. It's funny how most of the tower are still undamaged and full of archers.

I'm going for this achievement now and from what I'm seeing, archer shrine definitely makes arrows stronger. At one point my army couldn't stop two breeders from destroying a fully upgraded wall. Later I had a few more archers and the shrine was lit. Three breeders died before they even reached the wall.

I just got this achievement with having the archer stone lit for probalby 80% of the time. It does make the archers do more damage as they can now 1-shot deer. Each day I recruited all I could and I ended up with more than 200 archers probably. Nothing could touch me. So if you were to have an ass load of archers, haveing the archer stone lit or not really does not matter.
