from memory, AGS forced race swap a whole bunch of NPCs. Which is annoying, let the player be whatever, but leave the NPCs alone. AGS has done the same thing in other games it localizes too, giving girl npcs male names or vice versa
I understand that, but since this is a game with character creator, I would assume that you are able to change the color of your skin. And if it was always possible in the original game, that should settle it.
I'm not sure how it matters that NPCs fit AGS's laughable definition of "diverse" or not.
I'm just answering your question. There was a firestorm previously because of what AGS likes to do to games. People were rightly upset, because AGS does it to pretty much everything.
Took me 5, maybe 6 seconds to google the answer.
