Nioh 3
question about replenishable elixirs and default equipment level filter in "Set Conditions and Check All"
elixir:
if it is at 8 does it really mean infinite elixirs without farming/stockpiling?

still have quite a bit in my stockpile but was wondering if the drop chance boost are worth it if it really means infinite elixirs

filter:
is it possible somewhere to set the default equipment level in the advanced filter ("Set Conditions and Check All") for selling / scrapping as setting that slow slider every time is annoying as hell

Elixir become easier to get once you stack those kodama buff. You still need to stockpile them though since mid-end game bosses are 1.3-2 shot simulator

There are option for auto scrap/sell based on rarity in game option.
foe elixir there is infinite amount based on colected kodamas and for filter there is one is basic game seting that let`s you choose one of the seling dismantling etc. and choose what grade item it will automatically will do at shrines

Both of you didn't answer any of the questions I asked. If you take the time to write something please read the questions properly.

let me rephrase the questions:
elixir: If I have the replenishing elixirs (RE) from collecting kodamas at 8 does that really mean infinite elixirs? and is there any point in the elixir drop rate buffs after getting to RE = 8?

filter: I already know about that setting, there are cases where I want to do a different option from the default (currently dismantling) (donating to clans or donating uncommons for amrita for the title or selling a batch to get a bit more money for the smith actions). There is a reason that I specified the menu option "Set Conditions and Check All". Is there an option to set the default for value equipment level in the filter menu "Set Conditions and Check All"?
I have them all collected except for the last couple of areas of the final region and its still at 7 so not sure if it actually ever gets to 8.

For your first question, if by infinite you mean that you get 8 elixirs after dying with 0 elixirs left, then yes, you get free 8 without reducing your stockpile.

Your second question, there is a reason for elixir drop rate increases even if you have 8 elixirs refresh from Kodama merit. More elixirs dropping means you can freely use elixirs as you clear areas such as crucibles and still have max amount when you reach a boss. This applies to open world as well but that is a lot more forgiving so it might not be needed or felt as necessary.

I have switched to elixir efficacy soon after leaving early game areas as I had very quickly amassed 200+ elixirs and felt I do not need my drop rate buffs anymore. I'm now at a point where I can have maxed efficacy and 5 out of 6 drop rate so all is good.

yeah but unless I skill issue hard I hardly ever even need 8 from one shrine to the next and as you said at that point there is enough merit to still have the kodama drop rate at level 4 and the other 3 at 6. I just wondered after I saw that RE goes to 8 if there is a point to my 700+ stockpiled elixirs XD

There is no reason to keep them in the stocks, just sell them for gold. They are actually quite decent source of income as any other consumable that is stockpiling in your storage.
If you level kodama not only will you never come close to running out, but plenty will drop from enemies throughout a level. Running out of healing is rarely an issue in this game.
I was worried about elixers so I leveled up drop rate and my accessories are for drop rate. I also was using a kodama soul core for free heals at the start and later you get a better soul core for healing.

Sitting on like 800+ Elixers so ya you won't run out as long as you are proactive at the start about it. Really its the beginning thats nerve wracking.

Yeah, every Nioh game is like that. The first hour or two elixers are precious resources you're glad to see dropped. Then you start gradually storing more and more than you use and eventually the amount in the storehouse had might as well be infinite for how much it matters.
