Nioh 3
i miss merging soul cores
i don't like at all how upgrading cores requires resting to get HUNDREDS of soul fragments.
in nioh 2, we just merged cores together, and could mix and match to get different abilities from them.
that was so much fun.
resting for fragments we still have to split between upgrading cores AND guardian spirits is uncreative and lazy af.
a real downgade imo.

im sitting on 4million of those things :summeryeti:
I only miss the trait
IMO abstracting those kind of upgrades are a welcome feature for me, while NIoh 2 core merging was fun they contribute too much to the time spent on menuing instead of playing the game. Unfortunately this game has still some problems in that area, for starting the soul core menu for Ohmyo magic shouldn't show duplicates, there should be an option to only show the best soul core for each type IMO. Then there's the addition of Soul extracting, that makes the choice of what to do with the excess gear more of a manual process. Dismantling gear should give mats AND soul matching currency IMO.

Agreed. I'm not a huge fan of it being a bit simplified, but I don't miss the hours I've spent micromanaging my collection compared to how efficient it is this time. I just lock one of each type based on the highest rarity and level, then resting rite the rest. Its also nice that the drop rate for yokai ingredients seems to be a lot higher when breaking them down than in 2 as well.
Something, something, comes with DLC something, something?
