Side Arm

I hardly use it but I can't double tap fast enough using my thumb to select the side arm.....is there a way to slow the rate of double tapping?

Not that I know of. I found it a bit annoying too. So I set it to a mouse button I was rarely using and bound it to a macro.

The weapon switching was a little wonky for me anyway, especially with the bow, which you can't use/equip when proning. But yeah the double tapping needs to be pretty quick.

Hardly used it. When i knew i will be close to enemies, i had my assault rifle ready. Used the mouse wheel mostly to select my weapons.

Hey gta_fan,

Instead of the double-tap to select your sidearm, there are two other ways to get there. I have changed my key settings, and you may have as well...so, I won't tell you to hit specific keys. Mainly, I use the mouse wheel to scroll through my weapons. I also have specific keys for each weapon...everyone does. But I changed that key setting to F3.

Hit Esc...hit Settings...select keyboard settings, and see which specific key you have set up for the sidearm.

Since I assigned 2 as my Takedown key (easier to use, as it is close to W), I wanted my weapon keys together, so I use F1 (sniper), F2 (secondary), and F3 (sidearm). And, as I mentioned, I mainly use the mouse wheel to scroll through my weapons.

I was trying to keep my key settings similar to my set-ups in other games. I never use default settings, as I wanted a set-up that is easier to use with my left hand.
