I don't know if this will be much help but I'll tell you what I think, so far. I'm on my second full playthrough and still don't know what specifically unlocks the hacking module, although this is what happened in my case.

In my first playthrough, I really didn't notice when or how the module was unlocked. I'd completed all the main missions and one side mission but not very many of the POI jobs or Bounty jobs before progressing to Act 2. I was still on the learning curve through most of Act 1. But, I did have the hacking module somewhere while in Act 2, as I recall.

After I finished Act 4, I started over with a new game and in Act 1 when I went to do one of the "Drone Challenges", that's when I noticed the required hacking module was locked. So I tried to watch for something to unlock it. When I was at the "Blockout" mission, there's an option to retrieve the crashed drone. I thought that might be the trigger but after finding it, the hacking module was still locked, so I don't think that was it.

Then, I thought maybe it would unlock in one of the POI side jobs, so I did every one of them, except the Drone Challenge ones that required the hacking module, but that didn't do it either. It wasn't until after the first mission in Act 2 that it unlocked but I really don't know why.

All I can say is that it might be a combination of finding the crashed drone and completing some particular POI job in Act 1, or simply by getting into Act 2 might do it.

Unfortunately, it's quite possible that you're experiencing one of the many bugs in this otherwise awesome game. I've had to uninstall/reinstall the game two times, myself. Once because the game would hang while loading Act 2; and a second time because the game wasn't rendering the crosshairs in my sniper rifle. Both reinstalls fixed the problems while preserving my player data. If you're planning a second playthrough, maybe you should consider it.

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for but I just thought I'd offer what I've found about this issue, so far.

Hello, I have run the game several times. I did not have a problem getting the hacking mode for the drone. Here is what I did and I just checked it again. You go to the "Weapons Cache" and click on the drone. Then hit the X key. Next in the upper left corner of the screen will be 4 boxes that are "Drone Upgrades" Some may be locked until you reach a certain level. But the first upgrade listed on my screen is Hacking. Which I have. I will cost you some of the money you have in your play account. Somewhere between 600 and 2000. It should not be a problem. I hope this helps. Let me know. good luck

went to weapon cache my drone box is locked and always has been cannot open it

tried everything guys restarted many times looked in weapon cache drone locked always wont operate with any key don all act 1 into act 2 still no drone and all the ones in act 1 that need the drone hack still not done someone must know

Ok I don't know anyhthing further. But suggest you get ahold of Rebellion. The are helpful and don't take forever to help you. I have had to get them to help me with difficult problems several times. This is the email address I was using to get messages to and from them don't know if It will work for you. you may have to just Google Rebellion support.

Polska gra nieudana z gliczami z piosenkami, czy tez piesniami Sumeryjskymi. Zastanawiam sie, czy nie bylo lepiej kupic za te 15zl 4 piw...
